Look like a fun game. I would love to play with you guys when I get a copy and a new computer.

This weekend's deal is Darksiders for a good $10. Is the game worth it? I heard it's like the combat of God of War mixed with the game structure of Zelda. All the major review sites said it was good, but from what I heard around the internet the game tries to have its cake as well as its pie and doesn't quite succeed in having either.

Darksiders is pretty good. It's heavily inspired by Zelda and I think a lot of people criticized it for being a blatant rip off, but I wouldn't let that stop you. The combat isn't very deep but the story is interesting enough to keep it going and there's some pretty cool moments.

For $10 you can't really go wrong.

Look at my avatar and then guess if I liked Darksiders. Good game with great voice acting. I don't want to play the game through yet because I'm waiting to get some money so that I can get a new computer.

Also I've been thinking about buying Magicka since a couple of my friends owns it. Heard that it is great co-op game.

Yeah Darksiders is easily worth $10. It's great fun. There are the Zelda inspirations, but they use them well, and the voice acting is pretty good to go with a decent story.
I also like how the "temples" aren't always obvious, and blend nicely with the overworld (as in, you don't always know you're "In one" until you get near the boss.

We really should have a night of Magicka.

Indeed, Magicka is a great game, and I think we should also set up a voice chat, makes everything much easier.

@irken Well, everybody pretty much knew that Portal 2 was going to be up there for GOTY. As for the recording, hopefully it won't slow down your computer too much while using it. I'm beginning to get interested in the idea of doing a let's play...
