Conference had some cool stuff, but man that runtime did not justify the amount of new content shown. That could have been 20-30 minutes and pre-recorded. A Sony Direct, if you will.
Not sure what I can take away from it. Don't think there's anything new that I plan on adding to my PS4 library that we haven't already seen. At the least, with it was the best "sell" I've had on VR yet, though I'm dreading the price point. Heavensward and Until Dawn are going to support it, kind of want...
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

It was already just like a Nintendo Direct, just scaled proportionately.
Despite the conference going over its already long runtime, due to the whole translating back-and-forth business as well as David Cage waffling on and on as usual, we got a lot of cool surprises as well as new looks at previously announced games:
1. Detroit: Being Human (a new IP from the creator of Fahrenheit and Heavy Rain)
2. A rather fun multiplayer reveal of Uncharted 4
3. Gran Turismo Sport, the next game in the million-selling series
4. Dreams, the new IP from the creators of LittleBigPlanet and Tearaway
5. MatterFall, a brand new action game from the creators of Super Stardust and Resogun
6. A surprise announcement of bikes being included in the ever growing Driveclub
7. WiLD looking even better than when we first saw it at Gamescom last August
8. No Man's Sky with a release date, June 2016 (I bet this will use the PlayStation VR!)
9. Boundless, an open world exploration adventure with hints of Minecraft
10. New footage of Bloodborne: The Old Hunter's, Shadow of the Beast and Alienation; all three are available to pre-order for €19 each
As well as the fast paced mech PlayStation VR game, RIGS, Dhalsim unveiled in Street Fighter V, Tekken 7 coming to 'home consoles' as well as PlayStation VR, more footage of Horizon Zero Dawn, Ratchet & Clank and Gravity Rush 2.
No Man's Sky, Gravity Rush 2, Persona 5, Horizon: Zero Dawn, The Last Guardian, Dreams, (maybe) Danganronpa 3... 2016 is already looking decent for the PS4.
@Peek-a-boo:
There really wasn't much new that I cared for outside of GT Sport but man, looking at the amount of great content for 2016, eventhough some games will inevitably be delayed to 2017, it's still going to be to keep up. That's on top of a bunch of Xbox One games I want as well. This gen is finally going to really start clicking next year. There's been some good stuff so far but still a pretty slow burn, now we're about to get an avalanche of awesome stuff.
I wonder if Horizon won't get delayed. WiLD is already 2017 or so, so wherever will I go for my lefty-liberal naturey games!?
Also, who kidnapped Rime? Was that you, Baltimore police? Baltimore police, did you kidnap Rime, throw it in the back of a truck, and bludgeon it to death via reckless driving!? Oh, Baltimore; you so silly.
Europe and Japan are getting Gravity Rush Remastered as a physical release. North Americans, on the other hand, are only getting it as a digital download. Did America do something to anger these Japanese companies? It sure seems like we're getting stiffed on the physical release front lately.
Oh well, at least I can still import the European version, as the PS4 isn't region locked.
I still fear FF XIII-4 will be announced and released before XV.
I can't see there being a 13-4. Lightning returns ending didn't leave much room for another game. Not to mention that the 13 series isn't looked well upon by most of the fans. If at anything, I could see a collection with all 3 of the FF13 games but that's it.

Don't know about the ending, I disliked FFXIII enough to not bother with the two sequels. But even stories with an ending with no room for sequels can be get sequels or prequels. And FF XIII wasn't looked well upon by most of the fans and it still got 2 sequels, so a fourth can't be ruled out. I think someone involved in the series development has even said so.
