Kimberly Wallace...hey, wait a minute! She used to review on RPGFan! I heard she moved to Game Informer, but I never read of of her GI reviews before. I used to read her reviews all the time and agreed with them. I don't think Bankai and CactusJackson would like her, though, going off of her Ar Tonelico Qoga and Rune Factory Tides of Destiny reviews, though I know I agree with them. In fact, I know she can do much better than this, which is why I'm confused...
I actually like the Ar Tonelico review, even if I don't agree, her criticisms there are valid.
From that review you can tell she isn't a magazine journalist though. What has likely happened is that she is struggling to make the transition and that is why her GI review is lacking. Writing for print is far more time intensive - she likely only got a dozen or so hours with the game, and it's is difficult to properly articulate when you've got word limits. Not everyone is cut out for it.

That might make sense. I read her Linkdn, and apparently she's an associate editor. I don't recall seeing any reviews of her's on GI before, so it's possible they were trying her out as a reviewer since she had quite a bit of experience on RPGFan. I have a bad feeling she won't make the cut, though, if that is indeed the case. Again, she's done some really good work before - she was my third favorite reviewer while she was on the other site - but then again, she's always had the freedom to take her time before. Her last couple of reviews would come in months after the game was released. Hopefully she's a better editor at least.
I'm going to get Jak and Daxter and probably Ratchet & Clank. They really are some good deals. I'm debating getting LBP Karting. I have heard mixed things but for $10 I might give it a shot.

I feel the same way about LBPK, I've always enjoyed that universe though so for $10 I'll probably get it.
This sale is ridiculously good, I think I've gotten more out of being a PS Plus member for less than a year than I ever have out of subscribing to XBL Gold. MS really needs to work on that and it also wouldn't kill Nintendo to come up with something similar.
I mostly just want NiGHTS into dreams (been waiting too long for that to go on sale...) and Jak & Daxter (for $2 I can't say no). Also, why is Sly Cooper Not among those? Would be a great way to hype up Sly 4...
So Dead Space 2 with a Turtle Beach surround sound headset is absolutely terrifying at 2 a.m., in the dark and alone. I've only jumped a few times and yelled moderately loud once, but dang, it can ****ing nerve wrecking when progressing in this game. I've never aimed down the sights so much in my life.
Maybe it's because of the headset and how I can hear every Necrmorph before it can even blink. Or that I'm a noob to the series. lol

I've heard nothing but great things about Amnesia. That, and it's getting a sequel. But if you haven't played Dead Space 2 yet, I highly recommend it, especially if you sort of liked the original.
I'm just hoping Dead Space 3 delivers. The third game in most series have always disappointed me.
