The only thing I REALLY want from E3 is a date on Sly 4.

I was only counting the god of war games by SCE Santa Monica.

And its a profitable franchise and one of few. It ones they have thixs gen. Makes sense to have the one big game that can go toe to toe with a new Mario and halo 4.

MW3 isn't keeping up with Black Ops when it comes to sales. Doesn't surprise me since Black Ops is by far the better game.

So I bought Portal 2 again.
This time on PS3 since my lappy died. BUT when I tried to sign into Steam on PS3, I logged in with an old account instead of the one I normally use.

And there’s no way to log out. >8U

SO I’ll be playing single player and PSN co-op until I can get my other account switched over so I can play with Steam friends too.

If you have another PSN account you can make another save on that one.

Spoilers: Next DLC released for any Activision game will have a couple of people complaining a lot, leading to someone making an essay defending Activision to absurd degrees and using slightly dissappointing MW sales to show Activision desperately needs money, thus unintentionally making me and others hate Activision instead of not caring either way.

Hirai is by far the most talented Sony execs currently. I think if anyone can do it, he can.

Of course, the entire Japanese economy has to turn around for Sony to make a proper recovery. That's not really up to Sony so much as Japan's utterly incompetent Government (even compared to the American and European governements).

I'm kinda of a PS3 noob (got one in November) and just assumed all 3 Mass Effects games were available for PS3. After finding out you can't get the first one on PS3 it's kinda killed my interest in the series.

The first game isn't even worth playing, IMO. The combat and the vehicle sections aren't very well implimented. Just grab the second game and move on from there.

Wut. The first game has hands down the best storyxthats classic sci-fi and great character interactions between shepard and his crew. The combat is findit just doesn't play as shootery as mass effect 2 and more of a weird shooter/rpgs hybrid. Mass effect 3 shows that as it goes back to a lot of the systems that was used in the first game just under me2 combat.

Story wise it goes
Mass effect > Mass effect 3> Mass effect 2

While in character interaction it goes
Mass effect 2>Mass effect 3>Mass effect

Ix say if you have a 360 or a good gaming Pc get the series on those as the hook of the series is an ongoing narrative where you choices effect the game. Plus you end up confused as you don't gt a lot of the lore and story. I had an argument with a poster in chat that only played two and was confused. Also all three games are tonally very different in theme from music to the way thongs are presented.

@Mickeymac Yep, I enjoyed the original Mass Effect over it's sequel. I loved that it had a RPG feel to it, and I connected with the characters far more than I did in Mass Effect 2.

I don't have or plan to get a 360 so I think I will pass on Mass Effect 2 atleast for now.

You guys are nuts. No amount of good story will ever make me want to put up with that weird shooter-esque combat. It just feels like they didn't know what the hell they were doing when they designed it.

That's on the PS3, dude. It's only first game that's 360 Exclusive. It goes for, what, 20 bucks right now? Just go out and get it. They'll give you all the important decisions from the first game right at the start, so you're not really missing out.

But isn't that's what's wrong with the medium?. We value gameplay iver good story telling. The narrative in the first mass effect is one of the few examples of good traditional story telling in the medium. Mass effect 2 for all its righter gameplay took away a lot of the rph elements and has a far weaker overall narrative but has excellent dialouge between the characters as it tries to go for a more band of brothers feel. The third game has an excellent mix of both.

Id say if you want watch the first game on youtube and play the others. You may miss out on cameos and references for someone who has played all three games but its still fun. Also you miss out on the character development of people who were in the first game and where they are in the 2nd.
