No, FFXIII-2 is not what FFXIV should've been. FFXIII-2 is FFXIII-2. Do you even know how FF works?

Edit: Speaking of FFXIV, I wonder if the 2.0 update will fix all the problems with it? If so, I might consider picking up the PS3 version when it releases... next year.

So none of the FF games are direct sequels to each other? Is that what you're saying? I'm unfamiliar with the series, I never got into it during the SNES or PS1 years.

That's right, Tendoboy, numbered Final Fantasy games are not sequels - entirely different games set in entirely different worlds each time, with entirely different characters.

There's two direct sequels in the Final Fantasy series - Final Fantasy X-2 (which is not XII) and XIII-2 (which is not XIV)

I was wondering who voiced Noel in Final Fantasy XIII-2 because he sounded so familiar, and then I realized it was the same guy who did half the male cast in Skyrim. Dear god, now when I get this game the entire time I'm going to be imagining Noel saying things like "I work for Belethor, at the general goods store."

Oh great, now I'm going to be picturing Noel with arrows in his knees.
