The boss battles are pretty epic in Outland. The whole game is starting to get alot harder but still very much enjoying it.

yes outland is quite intriguing.....i need to get back into that and beat it thanks for reminding me

I got Little Big Planet in the mail today. That said I might try to beat Outland before I play it.

What up Strofan? I haven't played Dead Island myself, but most all of my friend jumped into the game head first. Many of them say that it was fun for a bit and then they were just over it and others said it was a buggy mess. Just my opinion, I'd pass on buying it and rent it if you can.

It's one of the few games where I've 1000/1000'd and it not been a ridiculously tedious ordeal (I'm looking at you Borderlands / Mad Moxxi). I bought it at release iirc and I've loved the heck out of it. I have two coworkers that own it as well and it's pretty fun playing multiplayer. If you pick it up, I'd really suggest that your first playthrough be solo and on playthrough+ hit the multiplayer scene.

As far as bugs are concerned, I think it's pretty hit or miss. There have been a few patches for the game since release which have resolved the majority of the issues. I've only ever had the game lock up twice. Once resulted in me going back to the dash and once was a complete reboot. I've never had any save game issues that some report and all of my achievements have unlocked normally.

I'm not too optimistic that I'll like the arena DLC.

edit: I played the Xbox version so YMMV with regards to bugs. Also, a disclaimer: I'm kind of a zombie nut so I'm 100% biased.

Jesus, Tendoboy was right, the fact that you have to install the games seperately is annoying, especially when you download a large group of stuff that you then have to install individually. I just downloaded all of my PSOne classics, and I decided to install them when I wanted to play them, because it would've been a hassle having to sit through the install times for each of them. Then eventually I had to update and after that update half of them were gone, most likely because I had too many cached for it to handle. Now I know I have to install everything that I download, as much of a pain as it is, and hopefully I'll never have to download a large group of files again. Still, everything else installs automatically, including the PSP, so why doesn't the PS3? It's a very annoying oversight if you ask me, though I doubt they can do anything to change it now (though they should have when they switched to the Slim line).

@Mickeymac The reason it doesn't install automatically, is because you've got it downloading in the background. If you opt to turn off your PS3, it will prompt you to continue the downloading progress and turn off when it's done; if you choose yes, it will finish downloading if needed and then install everything that's waiting to be installed. If you download it and leave it on the download screen, it will install automatically.

It's is a bit of a different system than the 360's and more of a chore too - especially the huge update files!
Example: (New Fallout 3 patch goes live)

• Xbox 360 owner - (15mb install) already playing without notice.
• PS3 owner - "WTF! M***** F***** 3,000MB ****** ***** patch!!! ***** you Sony and **** you Bethesda!"
  (3hrs later)
• Xbox 360 owner - tired from playing and goes to bed.
• PS3 owner - "WTF!!! **** you again Sony and Bethesda! Thanks for ruining my ***** day, I'm going to bed and still the stupid ***** patch is still downloading... **** **** ***** ***** you!!!"

So, I have 7 games and if I look in my trophies list on my PS3 they are all listed but if I check on the PS website only 3 are listed?

I know it says "Information is not updated in real time" but it has been this way for sometime now. Not really a big deal just wondering if there was anything I could do to fix it.

@Splat The website is always way behind. Sometimes it will update in a day and sometimes it will update in a month. My recommendation: don't use the website.

So, I rented Fight Night Champion and I think the Champion Mode (Story Mode) is very well done and out of the limited games I have played it is easily the best looking.

I will for sure be buying this game sometime.

@Splat The Fight Night series is great! I played them a bit too much back in the PS2 days and I'm still burnt on them, but I highly recommend the series to anyone who enjoys boxing in the least.

I know we have other threads for it and all, but who in the thread is grabbing a Vita? I've got mine paid off with Uncharted: Golden Abyss already. I'm a little peeved by the price of the memory cards, but I've done a bit of reading on the issue and found that reason for the new cards is indeed to battle the piracy issue that plagues the PSP.

To the best of my knowledge the PSPGo still hasn't been broken down.

Gave Dark Souls a rental over the weekend. Don't think I'm going to bother buying it unless I see it really cheap. It's hard, and I suck.

Don't forget that dying is part of the experience with that game. It's not meant to be one you run through.

Where do you think I got all those Japanese games?

OK... I tried playing Assassins Creed years ago and didn't like it, but I picked it up once again - research for my book I'm writing - and I'm flipping loving it! If I remember correctly, it was another game that I didn't like, because it didn't have Trophies; right along with Ratchet and Clank: Future Tools of Destruction, Metal Gear Solid 4 and MotorStorm, all of which are now some of my favorite games on the system.

haha, funny you mention Assassin's Creed. I've just reviewed Revelations after forcing myself to play it and I absolutely hated the experience. Not one part of that mess managed to click with me.

I thought the series had potential back when the original Assassin's Creed was released. That was a flawed game but it had soul.

Now I have no hope for it. Unless Rockstar buys the IP, Ubisoft's already pulled an Activision and driven it into the ground.

I thought II and Brotherhood were fun, but I dunno about Revelations.

My sister and I have come to a conclusion about getting a PS3. Basically, I pay half for it and she does the same. We're thinking of getting the 160 gb model and she'll buy MW3 while I get Arkham City and War for Cybertron along with an HDMI cable and a headset.

Thank goodness for paid internships
