The PS3 version, on the otherhand, Sold very well in Japan, proving that the PS3 is where their fans are. I just don't get it...

It's because Bamco is effing insane. Possibly evil as well. But, mostly, just stupid.

@slap - is there a reason that movemodo thread got locked? Can't for the life of me fathom why...I did hear about that MW2 super-hacking a few days ago though As usual, a few entitled douche bags with some programming experience ruin everyone's day. I'm of the mind where I hope another group of hackers find out where they live and handle it themselves.

Yeah I'm wondering why it got locked also. I think maybe there were some deleted comments, though I see no reason why it should be locked after, just a comment could've worked.

I picked up Dead Space today. After reading Game Informer's review of the sequel that just came out, it really sounded like the kind of atmospheric, psychological action game that I'd really enjoy, but I figured I should start with the first one so as not to be confused by the story. It was like $17, so I went ahead and got it.

Holy Moses, this game is incredible. I mean seriously incredible. I don't find it to be particularly scary, but the atmosphere and art direction are among the best I've seen in a game. The soundtrack and sound editing are especially impressive as well, and add a lot to the mood. The shooting mechanics are interesting, if not particularly outstanding, but so far I'm really amazed by this game. The blend of exploration, combat and puzzle-solving combined with an overbearing sense of isolation make it feel like Metroid-gone-horror. Brilliant.

Also, I found Metal Gear Solid 2 for $3. It's been a good day

I really don't find it surprising at all. RPGs have never been a big thing with Xbox owners in particular. JRPGs/RPG have always been extremely successful on the PlayStation format.

@Swerd... I'm not sure about that thread. Judging by TBDs comment, I'm guessing a few hackers trolled it. I'm not sure, but I think there is enough info there to warn others. Do report anything you guys see to Sony and/or Activision, as then they can trace down the hackers. Little leaks I've heard, is that Sony has a massive system banning coming, much like what Microsoft did with this same 360 issue. I hope so!

@KidA... I'm glad you started from the first game. It's and absolutely incredible game and one of the few games I would really consider giving a perfect score too. I love the series!

Yeah I play online, I just got it yesterday too. I bought it for $19.99 from the EA Store sale last week and it came yesterday along with Need for Speed Shift for $9.99. (With free shipping) On Sunday, I bought Madden 11 for $3.99 (yes, $3.99) and free shipping thanks to the sale on them and a code they were giving out that takes off $20. It came today.

So over the weekend my $500 Yamaha 10in Powered Sub Ive had for about 5yrs, just flippin died on me. I added the above linked sub to my theater system today for a lot cheaper and it sound fantastic. Really carries a deep bass, that sound so good on Dead Space!

I hope the PS3 still has years of life in it, especially since Sony announced that the NGP will have so much compatibility with it.

I think it still has a long life ahead of it...Move will help, in addition to NGP and it's nifty Move-like abilities. That presentation seriously blew my mind...Nintendo's prob would've been more impressive if Reggie wasn't delivering it, though. He's such a cheeseball.
