Today is a great day for PS3 owners; we get Mass Effect 2 AND LittleBigPlanet 2! I was only going to buy ME2, but after I pre-ordered it on Amazon, I got $20 credit towards something else...so I pre-ordered LBP2. Turns out that LBP2 also comes with $20 credit, so it's a pretty sweet deal. I just hope these two great, long games don't keep me from doing my homework.

loving LBP2, anyone else go for the collector's edition? it's the first time i've gotten a collector's edition game because it came with really great stuff for a game I already knew I loved.

@Turtle... yep, I sure do, but I'll leave that as a surprise. It's not me though. I'm very much looking forward to the long wait of a few months to pick it up. I'm not much of a level builder, so I'll be doing a lot more playing than building.
My copy of Mass Effect 2 is so pretty, now to kick the crap out of the end boss in the first game (which is only like 30 hrs long... wow) and check it out.
@squiggle I got Collectors Edition! Could you believe I ordered that thing back in September and they tried selling me the normal copy? Black Ops servers are shutting? That sucks. Don't play the multiplayer that much but I do occasionally play Zombies.
thoughts on LBP2? if i dont buy it soon ill get it for my birthday in march
World-collapsingly amazing. Seriously. I was only mildly impressed with the first one, simply because the single player was a tad uninspired (aside from the great visual style) and the create tools were too complicated to really wrap my brain around.
This one, however, has some of the most ingenious levels I've ever encountered in a platformer, and the create tools are a bit more user-friendly, varied and streamlined, even if the tutorials aren't quite as deep or comprehensive as I'd like them to be. Even if you don't plan on creating anything, I still wholeheartedly recommend the game. A spectacular single player campaign, and 3 million+ community-created levels already at your disposal. BUY IT

I have LBP2 in my hands now! Well over on my desk at least. I won't be able to play it for a few hours, but I enjoyed reading the Instruction booklet! ...Actually I didn't. I'm used to first-party nintendo booklets I guess, all the PS3 ones seem kinda boring to me. :/

While I was at Gamestop (only place in town that had it in stock) the dude told me I had unused reserve credit. It was $10 in for Metroid: Other M which came out in August. Shows you the last time I was there
Anyway, I switched it on over to Uncharted 3 and put in another $10. You can't come soon enough 1/1/11!
Wow there's so much DLC for LBP! Next time I add some money I want to get Chun-Li, and Snake, and Tails, and that guy with the cool shades from Heavy Rain and /me breathes heavy
If only Ratchet and Clank were purchasable, I'd buy them immediately
When does it get fun? I've tried now on 3 separate attempts to start the game and it just seems like the world's clunkiest most soulless dungeon crawl...the attacks take a crazy-long time and the stamina system just serves to make everything take longer...am I missing something? Do new mechanics show up a few hours in that make everything better?
