@Haru17 MAD = Mutually Assured Destruction. Done as much by the Western fandom as the Japanese one. Taking crazy feats (knocking Gore out of the air with a GS upswing when he's behind you/Critical Juncturing off Glavenus' tail/etc.) and compiling them together with some snazzy editing and j-rock/metal music. Needless to say, I love them (or at least good ones).
Sorry for double post but LEAKED GAMEPLAY!!! https://www.bilibili.com/video/av11376919/?zw
It's pretty dark, though. Also good grief the guildie's VO sucks.
EDIT: Gets brighter. Guy probably repeatedly covering/uncovering the camera to try and not get caught.
@DarthNocturnal They said they're touching up VFX at least. I don't want to rely on crappy damage numbers-- blood effects and hit stun better be in.
On top of that, I'm not a fan of how they screwed with the HUD and put the map in the lower-left corner of the screen instead of the upper-right.
Anyways: Longsword seems same as 4th gen. 21:58 gives a clear shot of what's basically an HA-- powerful stab with windup into a big jump that ends in a powerful slash. He actually whiffs it the first time (the stab doesn't connect).
Also got a shot of the map: https://s20.postimg.org/rgszuixkd/Map.png
Not a huge fan of all those tunnels. I kinda have to agree with the sole English comments I saw: "I thought this was supposed to be Monster Hunter, not Monster Runner."
Honestly, the video kinda worsened my opinion of the game seeing it in action.
The ecosystem stuff feels like pointless filler-- spending several minutes to track a monster, monster vs monster events, all of that just takes away from the player experience.
The environments look bland and all blend together, with the long tunnels adding to the empty feeling.
Everything feels like it just detracts from the main point of the series: player vs monster. They've just thrown a bunch of fluff over it that gets in the way.
Considering they've left combat basically untouched, making MH "more approachable" seems to mean "confuse the base concept and add more tedium to it".
I prefer the monster interacting with another monster thing...because it seems weird when two show up and they basically pretend that the other one doesn't exist. #1 reason why Seltas Queen was one of my favorite 4th gen monsters.
And usually you're spending a minute or two looking for the monster at the start of a quest anyways. (unless you're in high/G rank and the game throws you right in front of it)
No idea about the map.

@Joeynator3000 You've got to take a couple minutes to fill up a meter for the flies. And even when you do learn where monsters are located it'll be a much bigger trek to find them than in the past (thank you, 250% larger areas).
It feels like they're trying to be "realistic" rather than fun.
"There's a very fine line between not listening and not caring. I like to think I walk that line every day of my life." -Leonard Church Jr.
The map is kinda meh, but at the same time reminds me of MH4's opening...I do prefer the more open areas though. So I hope other maps won't always have small caves and stuff. (I hate that thin area in the middle of Verdant Hills, makes it way too easy for monsters to hit you, lol)
My only worry right now is the monster roster, really hope they're not all bland/based on realism...I also hope some of the returning monsters will include the over-the-top ones like XX's flagship.

@Joeynator3000 With the fact that they've removed blood splatter and attacks cutting the air/kicking up dust, I'm scared that monsters are going to be too bland and they'll just port over the Gen 1 monsters again.
