I'm using the kindle fire for some netflix and mybe some games. Problem is most of th egood tablet games on iTunes aren't on here (as expected), so I'm just left with netflix. Also, I may be wrong on this, but no videos from blip.tv work on the kindle fire, so that's pretty dissapointing
FF6: Release year- 1994 Kefka's birthday - November 9th So.... my life is practically mirroring Kefka? Cool.
I'm borrowing a Fire so that I can have something akin to computer access while mine's broken. I don't understand the tablet craze. Using a touchscreen as a keyboard is torture and the screen size sucks for web browsing. If I could ever bear to part with my books, I would just get a normal Kindle, personally, since it's cheaper and presumably has a much better battery life.
you get used to typing with a digital keyboard. all this has done has shown me how small my phone screen is. also wish amazon allowed to use google apps and other keyboards. could use some swift key x right now.

Ok finally got my replacement Kindle Fire and got it hooked up to the WiFi and everything is working great now. I registered it and got all my books from my old Kindle as well as I am able to connect to websites now.

Ok well I went to download a couple free apps on my Kindle Fire and it asks me for a credit card. WTF??? If its free why do they need my credit card info?

Trying to turn my Kindle Fire into a device that can be used for homework/school purposes. Call me crazy, but I think it could actually be useful for that stuff and save me some paper and time.
Today I checked to make sure it can connect to the school's Wi-Fi, and was able to get the pre-installed QuickOffice app to work with my school Google Docs account for viewing of my essays and papers. Now I need to upgrade to either the Pro version or another productivity app that allows for editing/creating documents, preferably one that works with Google Docs.
I don't want Pro at $15, but please let me know if you ever see it or another productivity app as the Free App of the Day (I'll subscribe to this thread) or even on sale, as then I might be interested.
If you have any other suggestions for turning my Fire into a productivity machine please let me know (including getting Splashtop Remote Desktop to work outside of my home, and getting the built-in "Docs" section documents to show up in QuickOffice, and any tips on how to use the Adobe Reader app, that'd be great.
