I’ve been grinding for the last couple of weeks, but I feel like my progression has completely stalled once I reached the mountain stages. It feels like no matter how much I upgrade my equipment, my party just gets wiped before they can get their second rotation of skills off. The difficulty spike seems massive compared to the early zones.
I decided to actually do some research instead of just brute-forcing it, and after reading through the guides on the Dragon Traveler Wiki https://dragontraveler.gg . I realized I might be completely prioritizing the wrong substats. I was stacking pure defense, but apparently, evasion and agility scaling have much better returns once you pass a certain level threshold. The mechanics regarding turn order were a lot more complex than I thought.
That led me to audit my current team composition. I’ve been hoarding resources for a "top tier" unit, but looking at the growth curves on the Dragon Traveler Characters Database, there are actually a few low-rarity units that seem to have better base speed stats than the premiums. It looks like with the right gear, they could essentially stunlock enemies before they attack.
Has anyone here successfully switched to a high-agility build to clear the mid-game? I’m tempted to burn my materials to level up a new rogue-heavy team, but I’d like to know if it holds up in the late game before I commit.
