Announced yesterday, the classic SNES game Zombies Ate My Neighbors is coming to Nintendo Switch (and other platforms). Oh, and it'll be bundled with its sequel, Ghoul Patrol. Includes extras such as save states, achievements, an option to listen to the soundtracks to both games, and a behind the scenes look at the game with an interview with one of the original Zombies' developers, along with concept art, game art and advertisments. Disney Interactive are the publishers, releasing the game under the Lucasfilm Classic Games banner, with DotEmu handling the emulation. Release date is 29th June 2021.

I'll be holding out for the LRG release as well. Zombies Ate My Neighbors was one of my favourite games as a kid, I have fond memories playing it with my brother. Looking forward to playing it with my partner.

Holding out for the physical, but not from Limited Run. I want an actual brick and mortar put down $5 and pay the remainder on release day at pick up.

I could never beat the First one and didn't know it had a sequel until the wii virtual console release. I do remember the original was pretty popular in the snes days. I'll likely be getting this!

Is Sunsoft still around? I would like them to port the SNEs Looney Tunes games Bugs Bunny Rabbit Rampage, Road Runner Death Valley Rally, Porky Pig Haunted Nightmare, Daffy Duck Marvin Missions, Taz-Mania and Speedy Gonzales Los Gatos Bandidos to Switch.

@Don

Yes, Sunsoft is still around, but they're a small Japanese company that doesn't turn out a lot of games these days. Their most current and popular franchise is Blaster Master, with BM Zero 3 coming out later this year. Unfortunately, most of the games you associate with Sunsoft from the NES and SNES days were licensed games, which makes it less likely for those games you listed to be ported to current platforms.

Only 6 days away folks. I just pre-ordered it. I was going to go with a LRG copy but didn't feel like forking up the coin for it. Still, I can't wait to play zombies again and try out GP

I am an OG fan of this game from the '90's. I have been want ting this game so badly that i went and bought a Hyperkin Retron 5 to play the original. I love the game that much. So when they announced that this was coming to switch i was super psyched. I pre-ordered the LRG release, even though I do not trust "limited run" game companies. I also purchased the digital so that I could actually play the game on the go until the physical gets mailed out. Yes i know I sound like a lunatic about this game, but hey, there are gamers out there more "rabid" about their favorite game than me. Any-hoo, Zombies is awesome, though its "aiming system" lacks acuracy making it tough to hit some enemies. Ghoul could have used some tweaking to make the controls a little tighter.
