Topic: Why does it turn on when I start charging Switch?

Why does it automatically turn on while I start charging it?
Some times I put it on bad on cloth and if its on it will get higher temperature.
Not everything should be as Apple.
Why couldnt they make it as Android phones.

To be honest, I haven‘t seen a single device that doesn‘t turn on whilst charging outside of 3DS for years and I’ve never used anything but an android phone. Though why would you ever charge it outside of its dock, where it‘s safe and secure? You‘ll have to get up to plug the charger in anyway so why not go and put it into its dock?

@GoldenGamer88 For me:
A: You can play it in portable mode while it's charging.
B: My charger reaches where I often sit so I don't have to get up.
C: My dock is in the basement, so if I'm playing upstairs, or at a friends house, or halfway across the country, how else would I plug it in?

@link3710 All good points. But that's what you gotta love about Switch. Some rarely leave their cozy little docks, others make whole trips away from them.

All I can say to the OP that might offer some help of advice is to avoid putting it down onto cloth and the like if one was worried about fires, though, it seems he already is aware of that
