I remember people talking about this when the DLC first launched, but woof, the Octo Expansion has some challenging stages. It's a good kind of challenge, though - my OLED is in the mail anyway, so if I launch my OG Switch across the room it'll be fine lol
@rallydefault Not really, Splatoon 2 doesn't have cloud saves so if your Switch dies you lose all your progress (same with Pokemon and some other games).
Uhm. I think I'm missing what you're trying to say? How are you less likely to "mess" with your save file on your own Switch rather than a cloud save? Wouldn't the opposite be more true?
@rallydefault If manual cloud save upload is chosen someone could for example have a cloud save with A rank in Splat Zones, goes down to B rank in Splat Zones, deletes their local save, copies the cloud save with the higher rank and then when they load up the game they'd be back at A rank so by not having cloud saves that is avoided.
These kind of exploits is a reason why for most games online multiplayer stats are only on a server, not locally. Perhaps Splatoon 3 will resolve this.
Just wanted to pop in here to say how absolutely INSANE Mario Party Superstars OST goes for no reason whatsoever. Like, IT'S BLOODY MARIO PARTY WHY IS IT SO GOOD. I've been binging the main themes, Space Land, Peach's Birthday Cake and EVERY. SINGLE. MINIGAME THEME. WHAT.
@Fizza
If you like video game OSTs, check out these
DKC Tropical Freeze - Homecoming Hijinx
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - Mor Ardain (Day)
Shin Megami Tensei V - Spiral
There’s like, a dozen killer tracks in DKC, and at least as many for Xenoblade. SMTV has a few as well. But Fire Emblem? Hoo boy. That OST is straight fire
Fire Emblem Three Houses - Chasing Daybreak
Fire Emblem Three Houses - Beneath the Banner
Fire Emblem Three Houses - Main Theme
Fire Emblem Three Houses - Roar of Thunder
Psalms 22:16 (1,000 yrs before Christ)

@JaxonH Funnily enough, I was literally just listening to Mor Ardain and FE3H Main Theme the other day. As for some of my favourite Switch-era songs so far:
So my OLED has a weird problem and I wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this. When I download games on my OLED via Wi-Fi, it effects my pro controller connected wirelessly, adding huge amounts of input lag to the controller, until the download is finished. Effectively making it unusable while downloading. This never happened on my old Switch, which was a V2, is this a fault with my OLED I’ll need fixing or replaced or something else?

amFilm has a new Switch OLED tempered glass screen protector kit that auto applies it for you, perfectly aligned and without dust. Screen protector covers entire screen edge to edge. This thing is awesome. Thinking about buying one and redoing mine now for edge to edge coverage.

Apologies for my ongoing Splatoon 2 commentary, but here's my question:
My OLED is supposed to get here tomorrow. When I get a chance to start the process, how do I get my Splatoon 2 (and other non-cloud saves) to my OLED? I do have an SD card, so just switch the non-cloud games to the SD and stick that in the OLED?
From what I understand, I basically have to tell the servers that I'm officially and permanently migrating my account over to the new OLED, so everything that is cloud should then be accessibly on the OLED and my original Switch is just kind of a sad has-been?
@rallydefault Several other people here have multiple systems and can probably answer this better, but it's possible to use your original switch as a secondary system. By reloading your account onto the original Switch afterward, you should continue having access to your digital library so long as you're online and the other system isn't using that game (this requirement is only on secondary consoles, the OLED won't require online to play games). And the cloud save data will transfer your saves back and forth for supported titles (AKA, anything but Splatoon, Pokemon, or Animal Crossing AFAIK).
@link3710
That’s how I used to do it between Switch v2 and the Lite, which was my secondary (nowadays I don’t use my Lite anymore, I just use OLED for everything). It only does a quick online check when starting digital software, once it’s open you can suspend it and take with you, and reopen at any time without checks. It won’t try to do another one for like 6 more hours I think. Something like that. If I do need to do another one I just turn on my phone’s hotspot and it would auto sync to that wireless for the check.
If it’s a physical game there’s no check, and if the game is being played in airplane mode on the primary system the check will still pass.

After their incredible Sniper Elite v2, 3 and 4, and Zombie Army Trilogy Switch ports (all with amazing gyro aiming) I was wondering if this would come.
After seeing Sniper Elite 4, I already know this is gonna be a knockout Switch port. They do such good work.
