So my friend who is picking up a Switch in the next handful of months asked if every Capcom game on the system has some sort of "It's a good game...but..." caveat to it. Turns out, YES!

Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers - $40 port of SF2, put all future support on this game selling well

Resident Evil Revelations 1 + 2 - Could have released separately like on the eShop but only at retail as a double pack, forcing a full download of the latter game. Digital only the EU (This will be a trend), but got a physical release on other platforms in the region.

Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 + 2 - Smaller game on cart, download the bigger one. Both come under 8GB total. Again, Digital only in the EU.

Okami HD - Digital only everywhere (Despite physical on other platforms) except Japan

Street Fighter 30th Collection - Actually at retail, no download, every region has it. But the pre-order for SF4 is only on other systems and it costs more on Switch.

Resident Evil 7: Cloud Edition - Same game plus all DLC, but you rent and then stream the game. Currently Japan only.

Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate - A year after Japan and 8 months after World to localise. No known EU retail release yet.

Mega Man 11 is gonna have something, mark my words.

@Octane They were curious. They're moving over from strictly handhelds to Switch and are aware of the....reputation, of third parties shall we say. They wanted to know what it is they are getting into.

Of course it was just funny to note for all the games they have released, each has some sort of catch

Also those PS4 sales. Bit odd they say PS4 had the highest unit sales of any April system since the Wii, but then state the highest selling hardware unit in terms of units shipped is the Switch.

@YummyHappyPills PS4 had the highest Software unit sales, not hardware.

@link3710 Sony's PlayStation 4 was the best-selling console hardware platform in April, and remains the best-selling console hardware platform year to date. PlayStation 4 generated the highest April unit sales for a Console since Nintendo Wii in April 2009.

while the Switch 32GB with Neon Red/Blue Joy Con was the leading hardware item in unit sales.

I guess Tropical Freeze was counted because the beginning of that week was still April (April 30th was a Monday) so the first 6 days of May were also counted as April.

Unless what they mean is the PlayStation 4 FAMILY generated a combined new record for unit sales for a console, but the top selling console if we ranked them all as individual things is the Switch, above the PS4 and PS4 Pro as individual things.

So the PS4 combined was the best seller and new April record holder, but individually its the Switch? They dont really make that clear because something they talk about the Pro (I.e. best dollar sales for hardware this month was the Pro) but other times they just say "PS4".

Thing is they never state if its the "PlayStation 4" or "PlayStation 4 family of systems". Just...PlayStation 4, which draws issue when they later mention the PS4 Pro. So it seems as though throughout the report they are talking about the individual stock keeping units.

Your house already owns a Switch. Your other child wants one. But you dont need an additional dock. Boom.

Its as they mentioned in their investors Q&A, Switch is not yet at the point where its buyable for multiple people per household, but they want to push it that way.

Pokemon is coming out this year. Both of your kids are gonna want one. Both will want their own copies and their own system. But you dont need two docks. That's extra fluff.

Basically we both came to the same conclusion. They want it one per person, but multiple people per home wont need their own docks etc. That's just cost that isn't needed and with the typical "My kids all want a copy" game coming up, make it as easy as possible.

@YummyHappyPills Well the only way it's happening is if I find out where @JaxonH lives and steal all his precious metals lol. Even if they cut the cost to $200 plus 2 games I'm looking at no less then $300 anyways. My son and I would also like to hunt together on the upcoming monster hunter so theres another good reason.

@Spoony_Tech It's not a "It's really a handheld" move, nor is it specifically a price cut, as its just not including dock price.

Its literally a "Second Set".

Hell that's what it's called. The Second Set Bundle. The intent is literally to get your kids in on it without as high a price and removing what you dont need.

And sure its still around $300 including game, but imagine if this SKU didn't exist and you ended up paying for a dock you didn't need, just to get your other kid a system?

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 is at #13 with collection number one no where to be seen. I wonder why more people are downloading the second game than the first. /S

@Spoony_Tech Don't know how the do the math. But if people are like me who likes to check the price difference before double dipping or getting a 2 or 3 device of the same kind.... will see that paying for the full set is more worth it.

They are selling the dock and charger for 8,980円 (The Joy-Con Grip not included in the dock set) (Switch set is @ 29,980円) without the Dock, AC adapter, and an HDMI cable & Grip is @ 24,980円 so is only about (roughly $50 less without the dock)

To correct the price without the dock should be @ around 21,000円.

Because the physical version included a download code for the second collection. So it's getting digital sales plus physical sales combined in the ranking.
