Having it on the Switch would be really awesome, just for the novelty of having a mainline FF game as a portable (iOS ports excluded) . But I doubt it'll be any time soon. There's still plenty of time, though. They could easily have the true definitive edition ready to go for Switch by the time they finish all the DLC in 2019, if they plan ahead for it.
When it comes to third party games, my outlook right now is always don't expect it on the Switch. That way if it ever does get announced I'm pleasantly surprised but not disappointed if it doesn't.

So I noticed this a while ago and I'm not sure if I (or anyone) pointed this out but Celeste is the highest rated game of the year on Metacritic.
I don't bring this up because I care too much about that but more that I will happily bury people's idiotic assumptions about indie games at any opportunity since there are clear numbers that showcase Celeste is in fact a more critically acclaimed game than every AAA game so far this year. I think it's also only behind BOTW and Mario Odyssey for Switch game scores as well, so it's also a more critically acclaimed game than every other first party Switch game besides those two.
While this site normally shuts down or goes into a kind of cryostasis at the weekend, with the Switch's 1st anniversary being today, I'm sure they'll make an exception.
Wait, did people actually think it was intentional? How? I thought it was pretty obvious that the Switch displaying incorrect information like that would be a bug. It's not like it's displaying the information in some kind of obscure and Nintendo-odd kind of way. The information is wrong.
Hopefully it's just a "displaying incorrectly" issue and that the data isn't permanently gone.
It only really makes sense for it to be a display thing. It would be as simple as them having a "days since first played" function using launch day as a "zero" but not taking into account the year. It would've been a pretty easy mistake to make in code. Either way, the date you first played it and the hours you've played would be in two separate fields anyway. Worst case scenario they don't patch it and the "days since played" swaps back to "hours played" anyway....

An opinion is only respectable if it can be defended. Respect people, not opinions
@StuTwo I've just noticed that I had you on my ignore list, no idea how that happened or for how long I've had you on there. I've been under the impression you were ignoring me as I've seen folk replying to you but not been able to see your comments. Now that I've noticed that, I can see that wasn't a logical conclusion to come to. I did wonder why you would as we've had friendly exchanges in the past. If you've happened to reply to me in the past and I didn't answer, I apologise, it wasn't intentional
@OorWullie I begged Ant to add a confirmation to the ignore list because like you and I'm sure many others I kept ignoring people by accident. Took about 5 to 6 months for him to notice my replies but thankfully like about 2 to 3 months ago he added that feature.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.
Came across this video this morning. Have your salt at the ready. But possible Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on Switch leak. There's a couple of things within the video I want to check out.
DLC was just unlocks rather than downloads, and UMVC3 had DLC despite being Ultimate, you still had to buy even though it was on disc and the definitive version.
Add to that the DLC became lost forever after the license went tits up makes me think lol no.
Now Playing: Mario & Luigi Brothership, Sonic x Shadow Generations
Now Streaming: The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
Look at the + button in the video, the ←↑→↓ buttons of the Joy-Con's right at the start and the control scheme layout(2:00 mark). If it's fake, it's a good effort. And the copyright date.
There may be a mistake in the video though, watch it at 5 seconds, then at 18 seconds, the buttons in the highlighted option have changed.
I've never been into anime, but I'm always feeling experimental and looking to try new games. I tried DB Xenoverse 2, for example, and will be getting Naruto trilogy when it drops. I have no idea what these games are about and I don't even know if I would like anime. Probably wouldn't take the time to watch it but I would probably enjoy it in a video game.
Anyways, Attack on Titan 2 looks interesting, and fun. And I feel like it's a huge win having this game come to Switch. I was feeling a little worried about Koei Tecmo games underperforming on Switch. I noticed the game was only number 650 in the "all video games" top sellers list on Amazon. But then I checked the PS4 version and it was 850. Xbox One version was 1600. And then it suddenly dawned on me that it doesn't seem too popular, but it definitely seems most promising on Switch. And that feels good because it means will get more of these games as long as the Switch version does well.
So, anyone buying Attack on Titan 2? I hear the combat was pretty fun in the first game and if they've addressed some of the issues this could be a pretty fine game.
