Topic: What characters are you hoping for in Smash, but you think won't ever actually make it?

I haven't even bought the game yet, but I would say that my favorite to appear would be Sora from Kingdom Hearts! He would add a very versatile combat style to the series!

Well this fits perfectly into the thread because they’ve already been accounted for, due to the alternate colour skins and the Mementos stage colours. I’d honestly love it too even though they bring next to nothing new to Smash gameplay wise. Getting a remix of Mass Destruction, would be legitimately breathtaking.

Just hope ACE do it, their remixes have made the original songs look like absolute garbage. And for the songs they’ve covered, those songs are very good.

@TheJGG The I'll Face Myself remix and how it merged the boss version of I'll Face Myself and Never More was probably my favorite DLC track from Ultimate

All of the fighters everybody seems to want would do nothing for me, to be honest, I'm mostly into JRPGs.

@TheFrenchiestFry nah, Hitler is prominent than Mussolini in video games where’s he’s in Persona, Wolfenstein, Medal Of Honour etc so Hitler for Smash instead!

TWEWY might be more firmly associated with Nintendo but Cloud despite his game of origin not showing up on anything Nintendo related until recently, is still a gaming icon and there was no way Square was going to do a TWEWY rep before a Final Fantasy rep

Weird picks, but either Nathan Drake (uncharted), or Joel (last of us) with Ellie alt costume. I mean the chances of either of these happening are so slim, there’s a higher probability of another fire emblem. With Nathan his up special could be the grappling hook from 4( was it in the originals?) and who knows, but with Joel, his side special could be you aim a Molotov that flies at a curved angle, and then does a little burst like pk fire, and maybe his neutral special could be one of his guns like the pistol, but with a limit on bullets, like banjos side special. I just really feel like we’ve got to get a big PlayStation rep at some point.

The Star Wars for Smash!

I definitely would love to see some MHA characters get into smash, but there’s a low chance of that since My Hero: One’s Justice 1 and 2 exist. Otherwise, still would’ve been really cool.

It'll never happen, especially not with the costume already existing in the game, but I'd really love it if Chibi-Robo could get in. I know, I know, Chibi-Robo is far too obscure and the original developer is now defunct so there'd be no reasoning behind it. Still, a man can dream.

Dante. I just really want to see Bayonetta vs Dante matches. Throw in Viewtiful Joe there too.

Groose, sure I guess he could have a chance given Skyward Sword was given a second life on the Switch last month but the 1st party Nintendo characters in the fighters passes so far have been Switch era characters so a BotW/BotW 2 character would seem much more likely if the DLC was to end on Zelda.

Prince of Persia

+1 for the Chibi-Robo, (Saki/Kachi) Sin and Punishment, and Elma (Xenoblade X) voters.
These are by far my most wanted. I don't see them happening in Ultimate but hopefully next time.

As for third partys that are still in the running, I've tons of nostalgic love for Phoenix Wright, Wonder Boy, Bubble Bobble, Harvest Moon (Pete), and the Secret of Mana/Chrono Trigger/Terranigma series and characters.
