Name a few games you feel deserve way more attention than they have received. I feel like there are some true gems on the eshop, and I'd like to find more. For me, I think my top 3 lesser known gems have been:

Astalon:Tears of the Earth
The sense of exploration and openness is some of the best I've seen in any Metroidvania. I was COMPLETELY hooked when I played this game.

Infernium
A really unique experience with fascinating areas to explore and a real sense of intensity. I think the game is a bit unfairly difficult at parts, but thankfully the developer added some great accessibility options to help tailor the experience (kind of like Celeste did).

Marble It Up!
Fantastic platformer style game that blows Super Monkey Ball away. I put a LOT of time into this one between all the hidden collectibles and time trials and such.

Mechstermination Force
It doesn't have the incredible visuals of Cuphead, but it's a similar experience, and in some ways one I enjoy even more. It's shorter and easier, but for those reasons I also find myself coming back to it more than Cuphead.

Spice and Wolf VR 1 and 2,feels like being inside an anime if you have the Labo VR headset, especially with the sequel. And you don't need to have watched the anime the games are based on to enjoy it,since the plot in a nutshell is just a merchant and a harvest godess traveling together.

Its not a exclusive, but the switch version doesn't have a problem the other version have.Labo VR doesn't allow the POV to change height,so you feel like you have a body in the game. While on the PC version you're a floating head that can move up and down.

I'm kind of into cheap gaming, budget releases, and b-rank games, meaning that many of my favourite games are kind of overlooked, or at least soon forgotten by most.

I was scrolling through my list, but honestly, there's so many I believe got overlooked, that it's hard to make a selection without doing injustice to many, or making it so long they'll just get overlooked again.

In many different genres and price tiers as well, some even got amazing physical limited editions released in regular retail. Some are usually very expensive, some are on deep sale all the time,...

Some games I see almost never mentioned that I recently played and greatly enjoyed include Yoku's Island Express, Chicken Police, The Wild at Heart,...

I often go to dekudeals.com and just sort the deals by price, and look through the cheapest ones and check for some reviews of whatever catches my eye. I've found quite a few hidden gems that way. Or I look for physical releases online and check the mid- to low tier price releases, sales,...

Then I get a handful of cheap games that look good after looking at some reviews or gameplay, spend less than 2 euro's per game, and rarely end up truly disappointed, more often really surprised even. Way less of a gamble, both in input and in possible output, than buying a popular 60 euro game hyped up everywhere, only to find out it wasn't for me. But doing that got me a long backlog of games (for while I'm waiting for others to go on a sale I can get behind), and got me a lot of games that are surprisingly fun, like Agent A and Pikuniku, and many more.

Have my Switch since launch day, and over 300 games on it though, many of which I still have to play myself, so it's, as I said, a bit hard to give a list of the best / most overlooked / cheap /... Without making it too long.

A bit more specific, and I may be able to name a few, while I'm also interested in other people's findings.

Rain World is pretty overlooked for what it has to offer, even getting a DLC soon. The whole game really makes you feel like you are just a tiny speck in a huge ecosystem, being pretty far down in the food chain. I know it is not totally unknown, but for what it has to offer, it should at least be as famous as Limbo or inside, i think.

Others i really like but don't see people talk about enough include Furi, Katana Zero, Phoenotopia Awakening and Darkwood. On switch and a bit more expensive i guess but still awesome is also 13 sentinels: aegis rim

Dust: An Elysian Tale - A nice, medium length Metroidvania with mostly optional back tracking. The combat is very satisfying with a lot of aerial maneuvers. Start weak and finish unstoppable with back tracking. The painted backgrounds and overall aesthetic vaguely remind me of Muramasa. It has animated cut scenes and full voice acting. It’s rarely in a sale on the NA eShop, but it’s already a value at full price.

Super Crush KO - A short, sweet, combo heavy beat em up with some of the most satisfying combat on Switch. It’s already budget priced and routinely goes on sale. For a few units, it’s an incredible amount of fun.

Honorable mention: Crossing Souls, Jetboard Joust and Road 96.

GrimValor is a great Souls-Like Metroidvania that gets barely any attention. You can try the Demo on the eshop!

This one is really interesting to me because I remember it being one of the more talked about downloadable games during the 360 days. So if it hasn't gotten much attention since, that's a bit of a shame. I've honestly wanted to get it for a long time myself, just been distracted by the various other games on Switch.

@kkslider5552000 - Oh wow, I knew it was on other hardware prior to Switch, but I didn’t realize it goes all the way back to the 360. It sprang to mind as soon as I saw this topic. It’s a really solid game, good story, good action. I hope you get a chance to play it.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas. The toys to life functionality hampered an otherwise fantastic game. The digital deluxe version and dlc were initially very expensive, but I bought into it and played for hundreds of hours. The Star Fox content was a very nice bonus, but the game itself had a good story and likable characters. They did a fantastic job of giving the real-time ship customization a believable in-universe explanation that enhanced the feeling of teamwork.

Swapping parts and pilots on the fly in order to capitalize on weaknesses, avoid a fail state, or to gain a burst of speed between hot-points on the surface of a planet had real benefits. This is because the late game was almost like an RTS where you’re scrambling across the solar system to keep the enemy from spreading. On the other hand, it was fun to let them spread because it meant more opportunities to engage capital ships in epic space battle fashion. Also, the way you fly and fight and interact with the environment is satisfyingly tactile for a vehicle-based experience which is enhanced by HD rumble.

Creating cool or ridiculous ship designs was also really fun. Loading several wings on one side and none on the other meant that I could have a “B-wing” with an off-center cockpit. Reversing the Arwing parts meant having a ship that looked a little bit like a Wolfen star fighter.

There’s only one advantage to having the physical toys: double weapons. By having 2 of the physics-based, shockwave canons, you could yeet enemies into oblivion. Or, you could mount dual shotguns and send out a hail of shrapnel. It was pretty much unnecessary, but brought an extra ounce of experimentation. I once mounted a battering ram facing forward and one facing backwards just to see what it would be like to instantly burst forward and backward on command.
