So I was bumbling by on the internet and found out that there's some crazy cats called Night Dive Studios that have remastered the first two games on PC and Xbox One. Being a life long N64 dude-brah just thought I'd start a banter thread on the wish of these coming to Switch while I gaze lovingly at my black cart of Turok 2, what a beaut!

Will they fix the endless amount of fog?

Fog was part of the charm on the N64, nothing like flying an X-wing in Rogue Squadron and only being able to see 2 feet in front of you:

I got a Framemeister last week and have been revisiting older games. 1st thing, if you still have your N64 and have never used S-video instead of the composite cable (in the US) then you are missing out. It is the single best thing for under $10 you can do to get better quality out of your N64, assuming your TV can take S-Video.

But anyway, played about 2 hours of Turok 2 through the Framemeister in 1080p. Wholly crap... That game was so much better than I remember. The first one is cool, but kind of barren. Turok 2 was so much better in every way. My friends and I always preferred playing Turok: Rage Wars as our default party FPS over Goldeneye. I know that's blasphemy for some people, but to us the weapons, atmosphere, arena, and characters were just superior in every way.

The third one was unique, but I think it deviated too far from what made Turok an interesting franchise; which is of course shooting alien dinosaurs with guns that launch homing missiles which latch on to their heads and suck out their brains.

I'm glad people still seem to think these games are good. Haven't played them in years and wasn't sure they would hold up.

Night Dive needs the remaster the Extreme G series next. I'm pretty sure they have the licence.
