My Sculptures
...Ugh, finally found that stupid central mine. Anyways, how do you deal with those hands? Like, seriously...only thing I can do is run until they randomly die that way, but even then that's hard because they're too fast. Attacking them seems pointless when you take constant damage and they constantly grab you before you can do anything. :/

Bomb arrows, ruby’s, Topaz, and Saphire arrows all work great. Once the floor masters appear just start unloading on them until they are defeated.

why are hoverbikes easier than normal bikes? I have gone through like 21 different bike designs and all have been janky and or turn in a weird way, but I build a hoverbike, and poof it works how I want it to.
@Joeynator3000
High ground. Never try to take them on. Always run for high ground, since they can't climb. Then take them out with about 6 bomb arrows. Gotta take em all out close together or they grow back. Then get ready for a fight afterward. Second phase is not hard once you know the technique, its actually fairly easy, but make sure you can take a hit of 6 or 7 hearts so you don't get one shot KO'd if you mess up.
I built the hoverbike design with the fans in front and behind the control stick, and once you get the hang of it (immediately pull back on analog to go up) its pretty awesome.
Even more awesome now that I have 4 full battery cells (12 battery wells total). That's nothing compared to what you can get though. You don't just max at 8, you can actually get 16 by doubling up over the original 8 turning them blue instead of green, and there's an armor set that lowers battery usage. Which is a lot... like, a lot a lot. You could probably fly halfway across the map with that kind of power bank.

Nothing is patched, btw. Everything is still working as of 1.1.0. Duplication for items, duplication for weapons, shields and bows, infinite master sword, fusing to infinite master sword, all of it.
It's freaking wild. That one glitch of double pressing pause within 3 frames opened up everything. At first it was just items you can fuse to your arrows, but then they figured out how to make it apply to weapons/shields by loading a save file afterward and duplicating it into the save, which then opened up duplicating a weapon into a new game save file under Hyrule with Zelda when you have the master sword, which unlocks inventory, which then lets you duplicate the master sword back into your normal save file. Except, it's not the real Master Sword, it's msgnotfound with infinite durability. All of that from the double pause glitch. But it doesn't let you fuse to it. Then they figured out way to use the double pause glitch to hold two weapons in your hand at once, fuse to the second weapon, then drop both and pick up the fused msgnotfound Master Sword.
And that's just in the first week. Goodness knows what ppl will figure out in the coming months (until it gets patched, anyways, and it most definitely will).

Just finished up the Water Temple after a gargantuan 10 hour play session.
I'll say this: while I think the open world-ing is improved over BotW in most respects (just went to the Depths for the first time today, and it's weirdly addicting), I'm actually preferring the predecessor in terms of setpieces and story development so far. The significant wind-up for the Zora story arc in this game is a bit of a let down, tbh, and features too much busywork. I also can't say I thought the Water Temple itself was better than Vah Ruta. Certainly not conceptually. And while the stuff happening with Zelda via the Tear memories isn't bad or anything, it's less compelling than the emergent story arc of Link recovering his memories of the princess, with the full picture really developing a fun portrait of their tumultuous relationship.
Maybe the other dungeons are better, and there's some crazy story stuff that surprises me, but that's how I feel so far.
@Ralizah
From what I have played and read online, the water temple is by far the worst dungeon out of them all. I’ve done the Rito one, and it was really good.

@blindsquarel Good to know. It wasn't a terrible dungeon, but after seeing how much this game improved from BotW, and hearing that dungeons were on this list as well (even if not the more traditional romps some people were hoping for), I was a little underwhelmed by the entire extended sequence.

@Ralizah I'll second the notion that the water temple is probably the worst one BUT I think the dungeons in the sky kind of expect you to consider the track up to them as part of them.. Maybe? Like, I was shocked how small the water temple itself was, but when you think of the entire chain of islands up to it as part of the dungeon it gets a little better I guess.
The Gerudo stuff is, yet again, the best, in my opinion. But the remaining dungeons (not gonna say how many there are) are all pretty good and were way more fun than the water stuff.
The goron's "crisis" in particular is actually kind of hilarious.
Apologies for not having read all previous comments on TOTK. Here's my take, still quite early in the game (finished 1 dungeon) :
Whenever there's a linear segment (the path up to a dungeon for example) I am enjoying it, and it feels like Zelda. But the open world / sandbox parts are just tedious :/ I'd be happier with a way smaller overworld, less walking and empty nothingness. And it feels like you've played it all before, because you have. I find myself avoiding enemies, and "secrets" don't feel worth it because they're so inflationary and minor (more materials basically), compared to older games where finding a heart piece or optional equipment or weird character arc was super super special.
So, I am aware that there's much more coming up, and I am prepared to change my mind. But I've had a few hours already that were not particularly fun.
