Topic: Temtem

Finally to be released on Switch very soon. Has anyone else here tried it out on other platforms in the meantime? I played it for a little while when it first launched, then kinda migrated through other games. It was pretty fun, but didn't have as much content as it does now.

For those that might not know: Temtem is basically a Massively Multiplayer Online "creature-collection"(aka heavily Pokemon-inspired) game.

I haven't played it in a while, but I bought it on PC back when it first launched, and wasn't as expensive as it is now. I just remember it being not really all that fun. Kind of grindy and stuff. I stopped playing it right around launch time, since it kept having server issues and I kept getting disconnected every time I tried to play, but a friend of mine kept me up to date on some of the stuff in the game. Apparently the devs kind of lean on the pokemon hatred that generated excitement for the game in the first place, with the EXP share of the game effectively being titled something which makes fun of the player for using it. Coward's Cloak I believe, or something to that effect. I also heard Temtem don't have a set evolution level, but rather evolve after a specific amount of levels after you obtain them.

The only thing I could say I really enjoyed about TemTem was the fact that the battles were doubles instead of singles, so you had more room to actually plan out your actions.
