@Magician - OH God, how could they even try to hype up that mistake is beyond me.

Disney is back and they now have the rights to the Super Nintendo version of Aladdin. Today, they have announced that they are re-releasing their Disney Classics Game Collection with the Super Nintendo version of Aladdin which was developed by Capcom, The Jungle Book, which has the Super Nintendo version and Mega Drive and Game Boy, and The Lion King, Super Nintendo version, Mega Drive and Game Boy and Game Boy Color. It’s not apparent whether those who purchased the previous Disney Classic Games Collection will get the SNES version of Aladdin added in an update.

Disney’s Aladdin: SNES, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Sega MegaDrive
Disney’s Aladdin – Final Cut: Sega Mega Drive
Disney’s Aladdin – Demo Version: Sega Mega Drive
Disney’s Aladdin – Japanese Version: Sega Mega Drive

I was about to buy the Deponia collection, until I found out only the last game supports touchscreen. So ended up saving a €100 thanks to that.

So...English support for the Japanese release of Deathsmiles I & II has been confirmed. The question now is, go with a Japanese copy or wait a long while for the SLG CE? A tough call for Cave fans. Anywho, the more Cave shmups available on Switch the better.

Pre-orders for standard editions of Alwa's Collection are already popping up.

Good for anyone who doesn't want to pony up for the more expensive collector's edition via LRG, though that's the version I'll be ordering this weekend.

I didn't really focus on my collection until earlier this year, so there are loads of games I want to buy and loads more coming soon. I'm not sure where to prioritise my budget as it's unclear how big some of the print runs for some of these games will be. I'm assuming games like this one will still be available in 6 months time?

If they hit wider retail there's more chance of being able to secure a copy somewhere down the line.
It can be a gamble as there's no transparency to how many copies are produced or how much stock any given retailer receives.

So, there's a risk if you don't pre-order it or put it off for too long, that you'll struggle to find any new or affordable used copies.
Or, it might not sell well and you can get it clearance eventually. No Straight Roads comes to mind, Play-asia are selling it for about $10 USD at the moment.

So Strictly Limited Games are teasing multiple Cotton titles. It's unclear if they are selling some sort of compilation release, or multiple separate titles, or even what platform they're for.

I find the announcement pretty confusing to be honest.
They make mention of four titles being "Cotton 100%", "Panorama Cotton", "Cotton 2", and "Cotton Boomerang".

I've already ordered the likes of Cotton Guardian Force Saturn Tribute, Cotton REBOOT!, and Cotton Rock N Roll pre-ordered from three separate places.

But it sounds like the SLG release of Cotton Guardian Force Saturn Tribute includes "GUARDIAN FORCE", "Cotton 2", and "Cotton Boomerang".
That seems to be the same as the Asia region copy I've ordered from Bazaar-Bazaar, so it doesn't seem like I am missing anything here thankfully.

This is as compared to when I imported a copy of Space Invaders Invincible Collection, just for it to have fewer titles than the limited quantity SLG release.

Preorders for Ikenfell via LRG open tomorrow.

P.S. - I assume LRG will lock up the physical releases for KotOR and Castlevania Advance Collection.

That file size for KotOR though. 15.6GB, ouch. That'll be a $50 preorder all by itself.

@Magician
I'm not 100% sure about KotOR, they did previously launch a series of Star War games via some agreement but I'm not sure what the standing there is, if it was all previously agreed stuff or what.

Castlevania Advance Collection on the other hand I'm certain they'll publish, which I'm looking forward to.
Aria of Sorrow deserves so much more love, it didn't sell brilliantly on the GBA despite it being one of its best titles.

Dying Light is open to preorder on AmazonNA. Even though I played through the game recently on PS4, having a copy of this game on my current favorite platform is one of the my most anticipated releases of the year. I love the game that much. And I also threw down money on orders for Strife and Ikenfell over at LRG.

What does everyone think of the new release for Breath of the Wild in Japan? It looks like all content including the DLC is on the cart.

The Splatoon 2 + Octo-Expansion on a cart is also very interesting, especially for those that haven't bought any of it yet, like me.

Do we know if its on the cart for sure? Or a download code included in the package?

Well, picked up Darksiders 3, popped in the game and to my surprise, not even notification to update anything.

Miadaskate

Honestly, the debate about carts with all updates on them is sort of pointless. The thing is, these days, games get updates all the time. Everytime I turn a console on, a game has an update. In my opinion, it’s not worth fussing over whether or not a game has all the updates on the cart or not. More than likely, there will always be updates past the release of the cartridge. Updates will just always be a thing that can’t be controlled / changed.

I can’t imagine Dying Light will run well at all on Switch. I too had a blast with it on PS4.

@Miadaskate - There is a difference between an update and a mandatory one. Especially when it comes to carts and other physical media.

Mandatory ones basically say you've wasted time, resources and money on something that will be ultimately useless the day the Switch is no longer supported.

I see TY the Tasmanian Tiger is coming out physically in NA and then there is a different version where you get TY the Tasmanian Tiger on the card and TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2 as a download. Any region where TY the Tasmanian Tiger 2 is physical on the card?

Not really. Updates are updates. It’s
Inevitable.
