Topic: Switch million sellers

In today's announcement, Nintendo said there had been 8 million-selling Switch games in this fiscal year. 6 of these a Nintendo published:

-Super Mario Odyssey
-Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
-Breath of the Wild
-Splatoon 2
-ARMS
-Xenoblade Chronicles 2

What are the other 2? I assume one would be Pokken DX. Is the other one Minecraft? Or Skyrim? Mario + Rabbids?

(BTW despite selling over 1.8m 1-2-Switch is not included as it has so far failed to sell above a million in any fiscal year)

I think it'll be Minecraft and Mario + Rabbids.

Didn't they say those figures were only for titles with retail releases? Which would knock Minecraft out of the running. I'd say Pokken Tournament or Super Bomberman R are the other likely canidates after the obvious Mario and Rabbids.

It wouldn't be Pokken nor Fire Emblem Warriors since those are also Nintendo published.

According to the numbers on Vgchartz it's not Skyrim, Street Fighter nor Super Bomberman. It's most likely Mario vs Rabbids which is was last listed as 0.99mil on Vgchartz.

Not sure what the last game would be though.

EDIT: It could be one of those since Xenoblade 2 is on the million seller list and the data just hasn't been updated yet. Not to mention, Odyssey has sold 9mil+ which is double the number listed on VGChartz.

It could be Doom? Or maybe even Just Dance or Skylanders, I don't know how well those series sell these days though

I think Skylanders did very poor. It must be one of the worst selling games on Switch. I also think that Skyrim did better than Doom so I don't think Doom could be the second title, considering that it is extremely probable that one of those two is Mario + Rabids there's room for only another game Skyrim is more probable than Doom imho

I reckon it could be Puyo Puyo Tetris and Mario Vs Rabbids.

Puyo Puyo is a massive fave of Japanese gamers. And MvR just deserves to sell more than a million.

Mario + Rabbids definitely sold as much, if not more than Xenoblade 2. I love Xenoblade 2 the most out of every Switch game, but Mario + Rabbids got way more attention than what Xenoblade 2 ever did, and in nearly every other sales list Mario + Rabbids was always in like #5 (below Odyssey, BotW, Mario Kart, Splatoon 2). Not to mention, it has been discounted multiple times, making impulse buys a lot more likely while Xenoblade 2 only got one discount in the UK.

Granted, Japan does contribute to a lot of sales and launching in 2018 hurts the 2017 total sales, but I'm very certain Mario + Rabbids performed well above 1.5 million at the very least.
