Topic: Switch digital shop security

Why do I have to enter they annoying password every time I want to enter the shop? Especially when it forces you to use special character.

This is the main and only reason I enter rarely their shop.

I'm with you here. I can understand it asking you to enter a password to purchase an item, but not just to view the eShop. Seems excessive to me.

Check the settings and I think you'll find you don't have to...

No password for me.

There‘s an option to turn that on or off in the settings. I have it on in case it should ever get stolen.

@Zeev @zitpig I've never had to enter a password making a purchase, let alone entering the shop . I did need to enter a 4 digit password making a purchase on Wii U but it was a minor inconvenience. I don't recall ever changing the security settings on Switch, maybe I did on set up. Even if I did and it's set that way as default, you're only a few clicks away from turning it off.
