Topic: Sonic Frontiers

Anyone that is still on the fence about it’s music, this is just the first boss btw,

I decided I’m going to 100% each island before going to the next, to get the full experience, already did the first one, and boy I didn’t regret it one bit!

@Eagly Don't rely on Dunkey, he is the most biased reviewer of all time lol, just look at his Xenoblade videos
This game is pretty awesome so far, Sonic is really fun to zoom around with and there are tons of nods to previous entries in the series.

@Eagly That's the thing, he made no mention of combat being amazing he said it was "pretty fun" and he didn't say anything about the freaking awesome story. He used out of context clips of the first like 3 hours to describe the whole game in his review, and I'm 90% sure he didn't finish it.

@Eagly I can respect that, I don't like him all that much but I think he's pretty funny. Anyways, we'll put the thread back on track lol
I would say so far this game excels in all areas except for the CyberSpace levels, they feel very much like Forces levels and I kinda wish they weren't necessary.

@Snatcher I love this game so far! Really nostalgic for me! I've played most of the modern Sonic games (Colors and Gen being my faves) but this one really brings me back to SA 1&2. From the 2000's feeling music, the wonky camera, textures. Its SA 2.5 for me!

I read Nintendo Life's review of the game, and yeah, they're not very favorable toward it. They did say that the Switch version's not very good, either. I did see that a lot of people on Steam like the game though, so I'd like to try it out on PC when I get the chance.

Nintendo Life gave an awful review, the switch version runs great. It’s 30 fps, but has no noticeable frame drops or pauses in gameplay.

From all the gameplay I've seen the game looks and runs surprisingly well with barely any hiccups.

I would have given it a 7/10 from everything I've heard and seen.

That's why i rarely base my decisions to purchase a game on professional reviewers. They are often overly critical A holes. Speaking of Ragnarok I'm a little busy with that myself not to mention Bayo 3.

Yeah totally! I went ahead and started a new game of GOW 2018 to prepare for ragnarok. When it's a sequel to a game you already loved who needs reviews? Alot of the so called experts have dumped on games i really liked so I figure the only opinion that matters is my own.

Sage is the best character in the game, I love her so much, I can’t really say much more without spoilers, but ai hope they end her story arc well.

Is the switch version good ? If not I am going to go with the game on ps4.

Also, are there multiple playable characters?

@Eagly No kidding, “Too much water” “exaggerated swagger of a black teen” all things that IGN have said, there a meme at this point. And I’m not saying they can’t do a good review, but it highly depends on the person, and it’s rare.

It was gamespot, my bad @Eagly, glad you still got my point lol. Yeah it’s so odd when you see these reviewers it’s obvious they don’t like said type of game, so why do they review it? I have no idea lmao.

@Eagly I remember that, That’s a game you shouldn’t rush, but two days? That must have been a sprint!

I also feel like frontiers was rushed through, as Inthink he review came out a little too fast but, maybe it’s just me.
