Topic: Shadowverse: Champion's Battle

XSEED is better known for their failures to give credit to previous localization personel. But when I got my physical copy in hand today I felt compelled to shoutout what I received. Some nice interior basic control layouts (most publishers cheap out with just plain white on the reverse side of the cover art) on the flip side and an actual manual. Shock and awe, as both are usually absent in standard edition physical releases these days.

This is supposedly a good game as well, but I haven't played it yet. If the content of game is as good as the product presentation...I feel I might be in for a treat. There's zero post-patching here at launch to boot. Just more brownie points in my eyes; evidence the publisher cared more than a little about this release.

I've been playing the demo all day and I like the game so far. The "RPG" game is very anime indeed, but is done with a lot of charm. The voice acting is very good. My kids and I all recognized some of the voices.

The game within the game is actually great so far. A nice variety of play styles available, and a good amount of tactical play. I haven't started building decks yet, but the decks you pick up from NPCs are a good mix that you can just substitute cards from if you haven't found all the cards in the deck.

At this point I'm really considering the full game. Anybody playing it around here?

I don't own the game at all, but I have been playing the demo and the bit I've played so far, I like it. I still need to play more of it, so far it's pretty good IMO.

Well, I got to the end of the demo, aside from fighting everybody all over again with a few other decks, and I like it enough that I just ordered the game. Now I'm going to start working on the deck types I haven't played yet.
