Topic: Playing Minecraft worlds on both switch and xbox

Hi,
My son has an Xbox One and a switch - he recently purchased the Minecraft game for his Switch but can’t get to see his worlds he created on the Xbox.

The Xbox edition is the Bedrock edition and the Switch edition I think was the latest edition on the switch (purchased last night)
He has signed in on the switch with his Xbox One account but can’t ‘sync’ the worlds.

He has an xbox live account - is 13 yrs old - doesn’t have the switch. On-line subscription but doesn’t want to play on line with anyone at the moment.
He doesn’t subscribe to the ‘realms’ on the xbox.
Are any of these extras required?
I’m at a loss and I can’t find any definitive instructions on how to continue building worlds created on the xbox, using the switch.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Reading through it looks like you need an Actice Realm sub to transfer between systems.

In the case of gaming consoles like the switch and the xbox, yes you can't move save files manually, you'd need to pay for an online "realm".
