I think if Switch gets more Zelda games than LoZ (NES), BotW and BotW sequels they'll do:

  • Zelda 2 - Nintendo Switch Online early 2019
  • A Link to the Past - Nintendo Switch Online late 2019/early 2020
  • Ocarina of Time - Nintendo Switch Online late 2021
  • Majora's Mask - Nintendo Switch Online late 2021/early 2022
  • Wind Waker - Wind Waker HD (Wii U port) sometime in the Switch's lifespan
  • Twilight Princess - Twilight Princess HD (Wii U port) sometime in the Switch's lifespan
  • Skyward Sword - Skyward Sword HD sometime in the Switch's lifespan

Meanwhile the handheld Zelda games and Four Swords Adventures don't come to Switch.

I feel like a true HD remake of OOT is the "break glass in case of needing to excite fans" glass that SE broke for FFVII.

though Twilight Princess is on Wii U so there already is an HD OOT : VVVVVV

@Yosheel Interesting. I initially argued that they were nothing but ports with the occasional new model (Link, for example) with new texturing, but then I saw screenshots of environments side-by-side and conceded that they are actual remakes.

They still pain me, though. They're so ridiculously conservative it really feels like you're just playing the same darn N64 games and that agitated me. It's obvious that a lot was reused. The "remakes" just feel far too remarkably like the originals.

There was a recent podcast done by game informer that mentions a new zelda game is closer to coming than we think but who knows what itll be.

I've been a huge Zelda fan for the last 20 years and I just turned 25, anyways I'd really love to see both Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask either ported or remastered for the Switch, I would also be fine if Nintendo brought games like Skyward Sword or another Twilight Princess HD remake to the Switch. In all the Zelda games that I've seen and played I think that either Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask could use another port or remake, although games like Wind Waker, Skyward Sword and or Twilight Princess have a decent chance of being released on the Switch, either way I love my wide variety of Zelda games.
