Topic: Nights of Azure 2

Awesome can't wait to play this although it will be later in the week (Friday or Saturday) before I pick it up and start! In guessing the frame rate drops with a lot of enemies on screen @JaxonH?

Ya. It's a little annoying but it's not the first time I've played a game with frame drops with a lot of enemies on screen. The fact I was glued for several hours today despite its shortcomings (frame drops with lots of enemies mainly, aside from that it seemed fine) speaks volumes about how fun it is.

This is exactly the game Switch needed. An experience that is similar to that of Tales games, and that is something that has yet to appear on the system... until now, anyways. It really plugs the missing genre nicely.

I love games like this but thus far I've really only been able to find them on PS4. Now I can experience it at at home just like usual, but also at work or downstairs or wherever.

Has anyone beaten the first game yet? (mine is still in the cellophane ...I need free time) Is it required to jump into the second one? I sorta dont want to power on my ps4 right now....Nioh is so disappointed in me.

I take it this is a game worth checking out?

The first game has been on my "to get" list since before it even released, but I'm just not motivated to play games on my PS4 these days...

I don't know Nier Automata. Is there any other RPG (on a Nintendo) that this is comparable with?

@SKTTR nier automata is one of my favourite games this year. But it's difficult to really explain what it's like, for the most part it's like a devil may cry/bayonetta style of combat but then it might turn into a twin stick shooter, or a side scrolling platformer. It jumps genres all the time. And the story is pretty dark, it plays out over 3 playthroughs and 5 different endings before you have the full story.

Nights of Azure 2 is similar to games like the Tales series. But with combat similar to that of action games like Fire Emblem Warriors or Bayonetta (not as smooth as those, but it's a JRPG not an action game). Still, the combat is interesting and there's alot of special moves and strategies and status effects, all that RPG goodness.

I do recommend this game. I'm having a great time... been craving a good JRPG like this on Switch. Been craving a good JRPG period. This will likely be the only quality JRPG of this style until Tales releases.

Been really enjoying this so far, the frame rate has issues at times but it doesnt stop me from having fun with it at all, would recommend for sure.

Also a heads up, their is DLC different from the pre order bonus thats free to download for a limited time in the eshop.

I wish they'd put in video capture. Mutant Mudds Collection will actually be featuring video capture so it seems all games moving forward will have it, or easily have it if the devs so desired.

I've been taking so many screenshots it's almost like a flip book. Video would be much easier.

I got my copy earlier than I expected. I LOVE this game it's truly amazing! Though I do have one very minor gripe and that's the time limit you can spend exploring especially for large areas with like with majoras mask you have to make progress and not dawdle too much on level grinding or you will get game over which to explain it shows the phases of the moon and each day the moon wanes to new (no moon) and if that happens its game over and each day at the start is around 10 min. But if you plan ahead a little on which side quests to tackle in a timely manner you should be fine!
