Besides, practically everyone else in the industry will be avoiding coinciding with the launch of GTA6, anyway. It'll be a very quiet time for everyone who isn't that into the series.
This is sort of why I can't wait for GTA6 to release and be done with. It's been rumored that all the other gaming companies have been withholding new game reveals because they're afraid of GTA6 overshadowing them- and it just feels like this one game is holding the entire industry hostage pretty much.

I don't think those rumours are true. The AAA gaming industry is simply struggling really hard these days because of bad development practices combined with higher and higher (perceived) fidelity and asset requirements coming to a head. That and there's been a brain drain from a lot of major western studios for over a decade, particularly the creative leads and director roles.
GTA6 might be their excuse, but it would be beyond silly if someone making a game in any genre that isn't in the open-world murder sim GTA style would be holding off on announcing a release date "just in case" it overlaps with GTA6.
