@NintendoByNature I think tomorrow (Tuesday) will be the earliest we will find out about the reveal, but I'd expect more of a Wednesday thing for that (perhaps close to either a NSO slot or a Direct slot in terms of timing?)
@NintendoByNature One of the 15 million leaks today claimed the trailer would be announced on Wednesday, but there's so much noise going on right now it's hard to tell which ones are based on anything.
@NintendoByNature The only reason I think they could wait a bit longer would be because there was only 13 1/2 hours between Switch reveal announcement and the actual reveal. Usually Directs are announced about 24 hours beforehand, very interesting how short it was between for the console reveal. It's been 8+ years since then so Nintendo could certainly have a different announcement strategy, but no matter what I really hope it isn't just a shadow drop!
I can’t really decide if tomorrow or Wednesday is when they’d announce the reveal. On the one hand it is a much bigger deal than a direct or indie world, but on the other hand Nintendo usually announces presentations of all kinds the day before. So who knows

I can't wait for Nate to get it wrong again, and for people to still believe the guy when he makes up more fake info like he has for the past few months.

@VoidofLight I actually want Nate, Pyoro, and all the others to be wrong (I personally want a Switch 1 Direct more than a Switch 2 reveal), I just think there’s a good chance they are right considering their track records for this kind of thing. I believe Kit and Krysta have even said this week seems like the week. (They were doubting the October announcement which many people were saying was going to happen)
@PikminMarioKirby I want Nate to be wrong because a blunder this huge will prove a good chunk of rumor-mongers wrong.
Nate has gotten so much wrong in the past few years that it's hard to believe people still think of the guy as a credible source. Kit and Krysta don't even work for the company anymore, so they have no idea what Nintendo will or won't do, as the internal operations are most likely no-where near the same Nintendo that they used to work for. Pyoro is a fraud and it's been proven multiple times at that.
This being said, I do want a Switch 2 reveal, as there's barely anything Nintendo can really do with the original console now. It's slowly outliving it's potential at this point and I feel like it's time we genuinely move on to the next big console. I just hope the date is wrong just so that "leakers" like Nate will stop being relevant.

@FishyS A February Direct with Switch 1 & 2 games would be very nice, but that doesn't feel too likely since they probably want Switch 2 to have it's own spotlight. There's 4 presentations I think will be taking place soon:
Nintendo Switch 2 Reveal (mid-January)
Pokemon Presents (late February)
Mar10 Day Presentation (early March)
Nintendo Switch 2 Presentation (not sure when this would be but I'd guess it would at least be before Mar10 Day)
@VoidofLight Nate obviously has some source. If you're not Pyoro's 'main source', you're going to get things wrong. If this does end up happening this week, Nate was first to talk about it. Recently he's been right about general Directs to the day every time that I'm aware of. He was spot-on with the xbox multiplatform stuff. I don't think he ever gave a certain (it's happening) about the Switch 2 reveal until now, not even back in October. Pyoro was only wrong when he clarified it wasn't his main source. He seemingly fell apart because of his fame and pressure from his fan base. When Nintendo refused to put their games on the eShop after the June Direct last year, he didn't know much about the Direct so got desperate. He's still been accurate recently, just last week he correctly knew about the Xenoblade trailer. Kit and Krysta don't work for Nintendo but they were there and know how the planning process works which I believe is still similar structure as it is today.

.
That schedule doesn't seem to allow for a February game.
@Nintoz Sometimes Nintendo does reviews 2 days before the game's release, but recently there have been times they wait until the day before. This certainly opens up tomorrow for announcing a reveal. Would we expect it around this time tomorrow or closer to the NSO slot like it was for Switch?
@PikminMarioKirby Unfortunately, I think a Switch 1 direct isn't happening since we got the XCX reveal. That's a big title that would have made waves in a direct.
@FishyS They almost always have a February game, and this doesn't seem to have room for any announcement like that. The only way I could see a February game at this point is some sort of shadow drop. I thought Robobot would fit, but I don't see that game getting a shadow drop (especially if it has a lot of new content like Return to Dream Land did)
I think there will be a point where we get several Switch announcements as there will probably be a few games throughout the year. Maybe Nintendo will have a Switch 1 Direct at somepoint? Nintendo doesn't skip February often but I guess it's possible since Switch's output seems to be slowing down.
Basically if my prediction is right then there isn't much room for a February game unless it's a shadow drop.
@link3710 Yeah they probably would've saved that for a Direct. I think there has to be some way we're getting Switch games throughout this year, just not exactly sure where that fits in.
@PikminMarioKirby My guess is they'll be a mix of cross-gen releases (Legends Z-A perhaps, and who knows what else) that are in Switch 2 presentations, and standalone trailer drops. My personal theory remains that after what happened to the late 3DS releases, they're going to market as many games as they can as cross-gen, rather than Switch 1 exclusive.
