Erm, so Pikmin 3 Deluxe is a thing...

Great game, although it was a tad too short for me. We’ll see if I pick this one up.

God first.

Oh great, so probably no Direct any time soon then. Otherwise they'd have saved this for that. I already have it on Wii U and doubt it'll be worth buying again.

It's dangerous to go alone! Stay at home.

P3D, alright.

Long rumored, long expected, it's nice to finally see it confirmed.

I think you're right, the only thing I think is possible now is a Mario specific Direct/Mini depending on how many announcements they have.

Pretty lackluster announcement. Pikmin 3 was way too short and I can't see the extra content being enough to justify buying it again (although it's not like I really bought it the first time as I returned it for a full refund after beating it). I'll pass on it and continue to just focus on the games I have already instead.

Well, it's something but not sure I'm too excited by that .... Maybe more soon?

Meh, I had fun with Pikmin 3 on the Wii U so I don't really need to play it again.

Now that Pikmin 3 is done where's Pikmin 4, 3 years ago they said it was nearly done!

Cool. But I'm not paying €60 for a couple of additional Olimar and Louie missions.

@Dezzy Could've been they announced this now so they can tell investors that Switch has upcoming games?

Still thinking the setup will be:

  • 3rd party August Partner Showcase which announces Bravely Default II for September
  • General Direct in early September which announces the holiday lineup and early 2021 (retail games need 2 months minimum notice so Pikmin 3 Deluxe would've had to be announced by late August)

So does this mean we will get no first party game till october 30th? Cause otherwise nintendo would have announced that before Pikmin 3

Also Pikmin 3, wasn't interessted in this game before an still not interessted in this game now

Besides only being a Wii U port, I'm a little bit bumped, that it will be released on October 30th. So it seems we won't have any games in August and September. 😕
I would have preferred the 3D Mario collection and/or a Mario 3D World port, to be honest.

Nintendo's announcement strategies have been very strange this year, to say the least.
Why wasn't the Pikmin 3 Deluxe announcement part of a Direct? Same with Origami King.
But then they decided to hold a Mini Direct for 3rd parties, and a very minor one at that.
I can't make heads or tails out of it.

Just watched the announcement trailer again. The graphics don't look improved/updated at all. What do you guys think?

@dionysos283 Why would they be? The Wii U and Switch are similar in power. It’s likely just a resolution boost.

@FragRed
The Switch is about 2x as powerful than the Wii U. But I was actually talking about the resolution. DKC: Tropical Freeze looked absolutely stunning in 1080p. But with Pikmin 3 I can't see any difference.

No, it looks the same to me as well. It's just a straight up port it seems.

It just not worth of 60€ if you have play the game already.
So i keep waiting for the next annoucement.. Hopefully something for me. It's been a long year.

@dionysos283 The original game ran at 720p30fps (but was absolutely gorgeous). All the screenshots for this one are at 900p, so I'd assume that's the resolution they went with, while the trailers are in 60fps. So I'd assume this version is 900p60fps instead of 720p30fps.

That said, I do agree it's not a striking difference. Pikmin 3 already looked gorgeous within it's graphical limitations. But the fact that they doubled frame rate is probably why the resolution looks relatively unchanged.
