It’s basically a little zoomed in and cropped a little from the top and bottom so it’s widescreen.
They are definetely using gchD or componant cables for the gamecube because strangely in the comparison the gamecube looks really good maybe better than the switch.

Watching their side to side comparison, it's quite interesting. The switch one definitely looks a lot cleaner, but the GameCube one looks brighter (a bit too much at times).
There's also a few instances where it looks like maybe they did retouch some things, like for example, the tv ad when you can see all the islands, some of them look a bit different. And when the image zooms in on shadow mario, you can see through him on the switch.
Perhaps it's filters and color correction doing tricks.
Some landscape detail was also smoothed out in the process, like the grass in Bianco Hills and several shots.
@BlueOcean i wouldn’t say it’s remastered but there is a video on Twitter from Nintendo japan that shows gameplay video of bianco hills and even tho it’s Twitter, the video looks really clean.
The game on the cube still looks good tho if your using componant Cables or GcHD adapter with SWISS. It has options like widescreen and line doubling it looks really similar to the Japanease twitter video.
It’s not a remaster like Windwaker HD

@BlueOcean yeah your right. Resolution helps a lot. I would’ve thought 60fps was doable. I know dophin can do it easy but the modders did it running on a Wii by just adding some lines to the CODES folder.
I’ll try and add the video
