The cover communicates exactly what it needs to communicate.
I ordered mine on Best Buy. Can't really afford two copies atm, so I'm going to wait and see how limited it is. I might just leave this copy unopened and purchase it digitally if it becomes impossible to preorder soon.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
Nintendo is exactly the opposite of Microsoft trying to make games available as easily as possible. Even the digital version of Super Mario 3D All-Stars is available until March 2021 only and Super Mario Galaxy 2 has been weirdly omitted as if it was a Virtual Boy or CD-i game.
So on another forum I'm on, everyone is convinced the game will stop working at the end of March. And I'm not even bothering to argue with them cause who knows, they could be right?
@Octane I agree, why does Nintendo have to be so annoying, ungrateful and disrespectful? I (like others here) will get the collection but it's like they don't deserve our money.
@link3710 That would be illegal, I think, and the eShop says you'll be able to redownload it after March if you have bought it earlier. Will they remove Super Mario All Stars from Nintendo Switch Online, though?
Lol so you pay $60 for a 6 month rental? If that's true, it would be the stupidest thing Nintendo have done since they devised the control scheme on Star Fox Zero
After march 2021 i belive that they will stop selling the 3 in 1 pack, and then sell all games seperately. Nintendo is not gonna just stop selling them, just a different wrapping.
@Slowdive There have always been Mario toys. Just because they started advertising them along the games, it doesn't really mean it's some sort of new focus. It means they just want to sell more.
Yeah I’m not sure I get their point. Are they trying to say that Nintendo is not focusing as much on taking risks on their games and is focusing too much on their brand? I can’t say I see much of a difference between how Nintendo is handling stuff now compared to how they usually do. It’s not like they don’t commonly do stuff like this
*While Super Mario 3D All-Stars can only be purchased until 31/03/2021, owners can still play its entire contents after this date has passed, and can also redownload it from Nintendo eShop if the software has been archived.
On the European Eshop, it says this about 3D All Stars
"3D All-Stars can only be purchased until 31/03/2021.Owners can still play its entire contents after this date has passed, and can also redownload it from Nintendo Eshop if the software has been archived."
So we don't have to worry about losing access to it after that date. However, the last part is interesting in the way it's worded. What if you delete the software for some reason, rather than archive it. Do you lose access to it then?
