Topic: Luigi's 3 final boss beat but still shows i need to follow mario

I have beat the final boo on roof of hotel. I got the congratulations, the bus ride, everything. Problem is that i understand that there isn't anything that acknowledges that i beat the boss, but my problem is that it still says my objective is to 'follow mario' I never get that box checked off, and even when i use say 3 out of 8 golden bones during the battle, i always get those bones back! Whats happening?

The game doesn't save after the credits. So it's like you never actually beat it.

Yeah, that kinda sucks.

It's like in Breath of the Wild where after you defeat Ganon, the active quest is still 'Destroy Ganon'.

It's a bummer. And like @Matthew010 said, that was such a glaring shortfall in an otherwise good game like BotW. Seriously... after crafting such a massive world, story, systems, etc., they couldn't give the game the capability to register your victory and let you explore afterward, even if the only difference was no more purple stuff around Hyrule Castle? lame

Same here with Mansion. This is another great game to go back and get everything, but at least in this case, the plot line at the end of the game kind of precludes that.

@rallydefault In BotW at least, it's so you can go back and fight Ganon at any given point. It is a shame about the Malice around the castle though.
