Topic: Joy Con Serial Numbers

Is there a number on a JoyCon set that will identify that they are a matching pair?

Someone has the same colour of JoyCons, but a button is broken on theirs and I think they may have switched it out for mine, so it would be very helpful if there was an identifying number on each controller of the set to be able to tell if the pair is matching or not.

Hi there. You can see the serial number of Joy cons in the settings under System > Serial information.

One way to see if they took one of your Joy Cons would be to be near them when they have their Switch and use the find my Joy con feature. If they have yours, you can make it vibrate using your Switch.

I think i accidentally changed my joy cons with the ones of my friend. He has the old version of the switch an joy cons and I have the new 2019 version of the switch and joy cons. Can you tell me which serial Number belongs to which model of the Joy cons or how i can differentiate them?
