Topic: God Eater 3 (Nintendo Switch)

I dunno, the demo looked a bit low res for me. Anyways yeah, I'll just get it physically and see how that goes.

I need to finish 1 & 2 on the PS4 first. I might get this version on the Switch if it's too similar to 2, but otherwise, I tend to like having a series on the same platform when possible.

I preordered via Amazon, so yeah we'll see if I can get into this series. I can see how it's like Monster Hunter (someone on Discord argued with me that it's nothing like MH, wtf? lol), I just need to find out how to get that dark brown hair look. I don't know why but I couldn't pull it off in the demo, and yes...my character is going to be Megumi. lol

I'm still unsure about this game after playing the demo but I've never been big on Monster Hunter so that could be a part of the reason for it.

We’ll have to hunt together then. I’ve played the previous games but I never really got into them like MH. This one seems like it has that magic touch needed to suck me in though. Not exactly sure how the multiplayer system works in the game but I’m sure we can get it sorted out

We'll see, I'm still not that into multiplayer. Even in Gen U I rarely go online with it. (and World I tried and it was extremely laggy...lol)

So we'll see what happens.

I can say that God Eater 3, based on the demo, reminds me somewhat of Generations's gameplay. They both have the Arts system that you can pull off after attacking the monster. Obviously God Eater's works differently and I never looked into it yet, because I couldn't tell if I was using them or not. xD

Crazy good performance for God Eater 3 on Switch.

Its a flawless 30 locked, when even PS4 has drops to 28-29 in hectic battle moments (which isn’t a big deal, but it’s just the principle that Switch is running at a higher rate than PS4).

And it looks practically identical.

Does this series ever do DLC/"events" or something? Just wondering, decided to look at some more videos and I'm constantly thinking stuff. xD

As for these...bullets thing, I never looked at it in the demo. But I didn't know it had some insane customization, so I'll look more into that stuff in the full game. Is there any homing options? Because I always preferred stuff like that. lol

Beat it on my PS4 months ago, was not impressed with it at all. Story is shorter than the other God Eater games and a lot of recycled story/character elements to it. It does have a more refined fighting system than the previous games but everything else was a step back.

Having never played the first two games beyond the beginning, I don’t think I’ll even notice anything recycled. And story was never a focal point. Monster Hunter has managed to have skin deep stories (if at all) and remains one of my favorite series to date.

As long as the gameplay is good and the hunts are fun, that’s all I’m looking for. Anything beyond that is a bonus.

Yeah, don't care too much about story, though I loved MH4U's.
I just want to fight giant monsters with giant weapons and have my female character look smexy while doing it. lol

Did anyone preorder this via Amazon? Just wondering if the game has shipped yet for you guys, so far nothing for me...I'm just wondering if I will really get this on release day, or if I have to wait until next week for some odd reason...

BestBuy for me. And it has not shipped yet for me. Usually they ship out the day before release and I get it the day of or the day after.

Alright, I don't remember preordering from Amazon before. They said select free 2-day shipping to get it on release day, so I figured it would ship today. >.>

....So who's playing this now? Mine isn't here yet. (should be really soon, Amazon had me worried for a bit, lol)

Still wondering what character to go with, stick with Megumi or go with another favorite anime character? xD

My copy is updating right now. Had to wait for Astral Chain to finish downloading and then DQ Builders 2 had to update.

Depends when it was preordered. Sometimes the day one updates don’t go live until a week or so before launch, so if you preload a month in advance a lot of times you have to manually update the game.

Btw, I love this freaking game! It’s great. It gives me that MH satisfaction but with a fresh take. It’s nice playing something a little different from MH for once, while still enjoying the same general style of game.

It’s rather streamlined in comparison to MH, but that’s only in comparison. This game is chock-full of depth, and I love it. I’m currently watching a tutorial on YouTube so I can get a grasp on the more advanced systems in the game and the move sets. Same thing I do whenever I start a new weapon in MH.

....I dunno, anyways yeah..I'm still trying to learn all this stuff. xD

Also, WHAT'S WITH HILDA'S FREAKIN' CLOTHING?! It's distracting...lol

l played the demo 2 weeks ago and l really loved it and now l really want the game badly.
l want it badly because l'm tired of MH games for right now and l rather to play a game that is MH type but only more fun which is this game. I'll wait till it comes on sale and then l will get it.
