So guys I was just looking at the discount history for each game on Steam. It looks like none of them have gone lower than 20% off and the bundle for all of them is 22% off. This means that even if you buy all the games individually while on the discount, it'll still be a few dollars higher than buying the bundle normally. (Buying each game individually when they're 20% off adds up to $76.74 and buying the bundle at regular price on the eshop is $74.99).
I guess my question for you guys is do you think these games will end up getting a better discount than just 20% off in the future?
Started Final Fantasy IV last night and I am impressed, in fact I will say this collection ranks up there with the Cowabunga Collection. You can tell that it just isn't some half-ass remake. Everything is well done, especially the music. It is done so well I wouldn't mind having it to listen to on my way to work. I can't wait for the Opera scene in FF VI.
The extras and QoL changes are great too. I boosted the XP.and gold to X2 so that way I don't spend as much time grinding and can enjoy the story. I love to that you can save anywhere unlike the original where you can only save in the over world and at special places in dungeons. Makes it alot easier to just play a bit when you have a limited time to play.
Overall very pleased with it and can't wait to play the other games.

@Truegamer79 Np! I agree though, I do find it a little odd that FF III was priced the same as the SNES games. I haven't played the NES trilogy before 😅
It is a bit odd. My main theory is because it is competing with itself on mobile devices, where the DS version of the game is still being sold, for around the same price. I suppose they simply don’t want people to think the old version is “more expensive, ergo it’s better”.
It doesn’t apply to consoles, of course, but perhaps they want the pricing to remain consistent.
I'm slightly miffed that the ESRB physical release doesn't have interior art for the sleeve like the Southeast Asian release does. Also, the slipcover wasn't sized well. Back into the wrapper it goes. I'm happy with rest of it all.

Been playing IV the past few days. Just got to Mysidia and about to go up Mt. Ordeals to become a Paladin. I got say really enjoying the XP and Gold boost so nice not having to grind.

@Tasuki I'll definitely make use of that feature when I dive into one of them. Cutting down the padding of grinding is right up my alley. Ajd for those who don't want to, just don't use the feature. Good on square for offering it.
I always take time at the very start to power level my characters and spells, enough to be able to beat several Captains in Fynn, to get a flame bow and a curse spell from them.
@Eel Yeah my friend is playing FF VI and the AP Boost is a God send when it comes to leveling up the Espers according to him. The boosts are such an awesome feature.
