@NintendoByNature The ending is amazing, and the last dungeon is in my opinion one of the better ones in the series.

@DenDen agree 100%. I'm kinda getting the itch to play again. I haven't played in 2020 yet.

@Snaplocket @Dezzy ah ok. I like Akihiko Yoshida’s art style so I’d like to try FFXII. But I will be trying XC DE first as I haven’t tried a battle system like this before.

@BruceCM hope so. I'm ready for the ever challenging world of paper Mario lol. I Really dont have much else i want to start up aside from maybe Mario and luigi dream team or superstar saga. Especially considering XC is on the horizon.

I checked HLTB and it shows Superstar Saga is about 17 hours. I should be able to play both that and paper mario simultaneously with only 1 game not being finished before XC comes. I don't think there's a chance I'll get a good chunk of dream team out of the way (40 hours main story).

Xenoblade is the better game in pretty much every way.

The only reason you might prefer XII is if you prefer a story about more mature political themes and less about individual character motivations and relationships.

Finished ff9 tonight. It was a beautiful story really, and the ending was great. I loved it from start to finish.

I only had a couple tough times and had to use battle assistance maybe 3 or 4 times throughout the game, so not too bad. Looking forward to FFX at some point down the road.

@NintendoByNature IX is my favorite overall, but FFX is a great game too. It took me a long time to get into it, but I am glad I pushed through.

@BruceCM yep it was great. Yea ill be getting paper mario and xenoblade. Although i have worn myself out with jrpgs lately lol.

@DenDen absolutely! So yea my next game I'll start will be xenoblade, or possibly Mario and luigi super star saga. I'm currently playing through paper mario at the moment, so I'll probably be juggling those 3 games by next week.

Paper Mario should be different enough, though, @NintendoByNature .... I'm looking forward to Xenoblade, though!

@BruceCM yea I'm looking forward to It, but I am a bit intimidated if I'm being honest. Game seems extremely large and expansive. Botw was really the only large game that didn't overwhelm me.

I've seen game explains and NL's break down of the Game, and some of my worries are at ease( quick travel and map markers, easy to navigate mission list as well as whats a side quest). So maybe it won't be that tough to tackle it, but i do struggle with large games like this that take a while to complete.

Having said all that, i still am excited to try it out for the first time.

I ran into some sort of Ladybug monster in IX last night that just wanted some Ore, so I gave it to them and earned like 20 AP.

@Snaplocket I think X2 is unplayable myself. So we differ there.

Got to play for a bit of a longer time today. Cleared the Ifia Tree, seemingly stopping the Mist, beat a mercenary after us, and learned more about Garnett/Dagger. Now I have to make the hard decision of which party member(s) I don't want to use as I have more than 4 for the first time (and due to the game's age, I doubt exp will be shared with party members not in battle).

That Ifia Tree boss was something, though. Every time it started out casting that party wide death spell and the little girl was the only one who'd survive. Luckily during my second attempt I was able to get my party back in fighting shape & it didn't use it again.
