Actually went to an arcade this evening to celebrate my friend's birthday. One machine I played the most, was Asphalt 9 Legends Arcade. An arcade version of this game exists, while it's not related to Switch, I still want to share my experience with this version of the game.
The cabinet is similar to other arcade racing games, you sit down, have pedals, and a steering wheel. It plays just like Asphalt, even a bit simplified at times. You even get rewarded blueprints, even in the arcade version of this game, you get blueprints like the Switch, PC, and mobile games, lol.
The coolest thing is the cabinet. While racing, you have a fan blowing in your face, and it feels like you're going fast. The game also has a seat belt, which makes things more interesting. Just sitting down in the cabinet, it's like any other racing game. Buckle that seat belt, the seat starts moving as you race. You feel every crash, bump, 360 takedowns, nitro boost, it's incredible!
Yeah, if any of you happen to come across this arcade cabinet, give it a try. I know it's not in relation to Switch, but since many in this thread like playing Asphalt 9 on Switch (I still play it on Switch and PC), just thought I'd bring attention to this version of Asphalt 9 and let others know to try it if they come across it in the wild.

I'm probably the only one posting this here, but the Asphalt Legends Unite update is finally out. The game now has cross-play and everything is in sync with the same version. Meaning Switch players can now enjoy the same events as the other platforms this game is on (it also came out on PlayStation). Also, logging in on Switch, gives some free rewards to catch players up to the other version, including a Nissan 370z Neon unlock, a car I unlocked on the PC version last year.
I'm guessing @funnyman420 doesn't come here anymore, if you do, think the main Asphalt thread could be renamed to Asphalt Legends Unite? Since the Asphalt 9: Legends name isn't being used anymore.

The evergreen qualities of this game are amazing. I still pick it up once and awhile and enjoy every run. Tremendous arcade racer. (and thanks @sunsy for alerting us to the arcade cabinet!)
@bluedogrulez I'm still playing it, BTW, on the Unite update, make sure you go to options and set it back to 60FPS. It brings back the smoother gameplay the original release had. Last week I did a few events and played a few online races.
You're welcome. It's an awesome experience, if you ever come across it, definitely give it a try. Really a fun version of the game. I do find it funny the game will still reward you with blueprints for cars, lol. Here's the cabinet.

Hi
I am new to Asphalt9 . it's just 2 days that I have played , so a novice & unlocked one Porsche 711 with 2 euros(real money). But I'm confused with all the card systems, passes, seasons this and seasons that (the Game just bombards it all on to you- it becomes overwhelming) , it's kind of overwhelming to me( I am a 50 + gamer
anyplace ''specific'' I can vent my queries on the switch forum .....or am I at the right place here ?
Thanks for any insight.
*PS: I know there's a lot of literature available on the net , but I don't want to rummage through it all for the time of it while I just need some specific pointers to be addressed....the rest I may pick on the way & ask as I use.
@radaway_1 I can help with the card system, in order to unlock cars, you need to earn blueprints, which are the cards. For example if a car requires 30 cards to unlock, then you need 30 cards for that specific car to unlock it. After a car is unlocked, if you get 10 more cards to an unlocked car, it upgrades the car one star, which increases its stats.
You can get cards by opening up the free packs a couple times a day, or with tokens you earn from playing. Usually from completing daily missions (you usually earn 5 tokens from each mission completed).
Being a free-to-play game, the game will try to get you to spend money, however by doing career races and daily missions, you can earn the tokens instead of paying for them.
Sorry for the delay—I was taking some time to put together my questionnaire, as I have a lot of questions. It would be best if I presented them visually, so I have attached **21 slides** here (mostly sequential in quest ). Each slide is numbered and contains the questions I’m asking.
I understand this could be a long task, and if you're not up for it, you don’t have to answer them all. However, these are the key questions I need help with to gain a clear understanding, rather than getting lost in packages, advertisements, packs, and seasons.
I hope my questions are **concise and clear**. If possible, I’d appreciate it if you could respond in bullet points corresponding to the slides. That would be absolutely great!
As I said, there’s no obligation—I understand it's a lot—but this is everything I could put together, **including the kitchen sink!**
@radaway_1 Little forum tip, you can do an @ name or click reply. That will let the person you're replying to know when you replied. You replied Saturday, and I didn't see it until Sunday night by manually checking.
For packs, you see a variety of cars because those are cards given out when you open a pack of cards. The content of the cards are random, checking shows you what cards you could get out of a pack. Packs also have parts in them, these parts are used for upgrades. Also themed packs that center around certain cars, will still have other cars in them. It's like an actual pack of cards, it's all random.
Flags are earned by just completing races in Career mode. Circuits have multiple flags, you usually earn them by completeing task. If the task is for example, do a 360 and win the race, all you did was win the race, you'll only earn one flag instead of two.
You don't need to follow the arrows, you could just enter any unlocked series.
Clicking "Get Blueprints" only gives you hints on where to find blueprint cards, it doesn't give you the actual blueprints. The hours and the days tells you how long you have left to open get those packs from the shop (again, play to earn blue tokens, do not buy them), or an event where you can earn those cards.
On the season pass screen, click that to accept all rewards, you're basically earning rewards from that. Be sure to do it before the season ends.
You can buy from the shop, but again I do not recommend it. Most of the packs unlock via blue tokens, which can be earned by doing your daily missions.
I'd say rip-off, if you want to unlock new cars, you can just play the car hunts under the daily events. They rotate often, but playing them lets you earn blueprint cards to unlock the cars. Farrari's usually appear from time to time as a car hunt. Also if you want to unlock cars, do the Daily Car Loot found under the Daily Events.
As car packs, buying them does not give you the car, it gives you a chance for blueprints towards a new car at random. I recommend saving up tokens and going for the larger option. For example, using 750 tokens instead of 75. 75 tokens gets you one card, while 750 gets you five cards and one of them is a guaranteed card. It will take a lot of time and playing to unlock more cars.
You can ignore the Unite Bank, it's just a way for Gameloft to make more money (welcome to the world of free-to-play games, they'll try to nickel and dime you if you're not careful).
As for season passes, if you're going to play a lot and complete the seasons tasks, I'd say worth it. Not Asphalt, but I did one for Disney Speedstorm. Even if you don't buy it, you can still enjoy the game. It gets you more rewards. It ends up being really grindy since you want to make sure you earn all rewards.
I don't know about the Overclock pass, I never buy those. So I can't speak on it.
Gameloft decides on how many times you can claim the bonus. You can only claim it 20 times, but it should reset back the next day.
Claim just means claim your rewards from the season pass screen from the free tier. The "Get Season Pass" just means buy the season pass.
The reason the Nissan is partially lit is because you have blueprints. From the looks of it, it has 9/10 blueprint cards. Meaning 1 more card should unlock it.
The hexagon arrow means the car can have an upgrade applied to it.
Honestly, I'm surprised all those links went through, I thought the forum had a limit on it to prevent spam or something. Hope this helps.
@Sunsy
Thanks for taking the time to write such a detailed reply. !
I really appreciate it! I'll go through it properly and take time of it into account.
For now, we're just fine and I will have to do my homework now.
Thanks again !
@radaway_1 My best advice, just keep playing and open your free packs everyday. The DS E-Tense is usually an easy unlock. I played Asphalt on both Switch and PC, and got it easily by just playing.
I had a question about the steering. I use the Pro Controller, and the tilt control is set to 50%. What would be an ideal setting value for this?
I also noticed that the steering feels different for different cars—at least, that's how it seems when I use the tilt controls. If there is a generic setting that works across the game and is widely accepted, I’d love to know about it. Otherwise, I understand that every car and its handling characteristics could be unique.
I just thought I’d post this question in case you had a "magic bullet" solution for this. Steering has been an issue for me, and I don’t know if others experience the same. Do most people use real racing chairs, just the Joy-Con, or the Pro Controller and rely on thumb movement?
I’m using tilt controls, which I think suit me, but I still feel there’s room for improvement with some fine-tuning in the settings. Of course, I could adjust it little by little, but that would take a long time. So I thought I’d ask if there’s a general answer to this. I’d really appreciate any insights. Thanks!
I also had a question about this bar https://i.postimg.cc/KYy7bkR0/20-2-2025-19-41-51.jpg
—it changes colors from yellow to orange to blue at times (pink/purple ?) . Could you explain what these colors indicate?
I know that when the bar is full and yellowish, I can use the nitro by pressing the **X** button on the Pro Controller. Could I also know which colors correspond to which buttons on the Pro Controller(Y,X,B & A) and what actions they trigger?
