I don't know if anybody noticed, but after I got the Switch 2 version, they actually let me download the Switch 1 version for free. As someone who has both a Switch OLED and Switch 2, that's honestly pretty cool. Went ahead and downloaded the other version on my OLED. I did preorder the Switch 2 version earlier if that means anything, hopefully that offer is available for those who didn't preorder.
Been enjoying my time with the collection by the way! DuckTales was the first game I played on it and I finished my first level.

Ask if you want to be Switch friends with me, but I'd like to know you first. Thanks! ❤️

If the NS2 supported a 1000hz polling rate, you could get as low as 1 or 2ms(wired) or 3ms(Wireless) with controllers like the recent Gulikit TT Pro or Max, and i think The latest 8bitdo Ultimate 2C, but 1000hz is exclusive to PC. NS2 is 250hz max, so unless I'm mistaken, the best you can get is about 8ms of lag. All controllers seem to vary. I would just roll with the NS2 Pro controller, wired. It has nearly 8ms of latency wired, and you get a top tier premium controller that no other 3rd party can match.
@PtM
NS1 Pro controller has more lag when wired vs wireless oddly enough.
The Pro 1 has been confirmed and tested to have around 12ms more lag than the Joy-Con 1's. Not sure what the total amount is though by itself, or how much the joy-con 1's have either on their own. I'm allergic to the joy-con's, so they're out of the question. But games do feel more responsive when using them. Big surprise when you're shaving off 12ms.
@NeonPizza Yeah definitely going to fire it up tonight when I get home. Not sure what I will play first. I am thinking maybe Darkwing Duck since its been awhile since I played it. Then again I can go with Ducktales for the millionth time or try one of the new games. Such a decision.

Ty for the comments/review, nice to hear its still a good way to enjoy the games and that its better than the megaman collection, i never got to play those games as a kid (due to having sega consoles at the time) but even i could tell something was off with the megaman one, was able to play through megaman 1 and 2 but there were definitely some parts where it felt funky when it came to inputs and jumps especially with the wily stage 1 boss/chase in megaman 2, nice to hear this is better. (didnt play the mega drive one on switch but did see my brother playing golden axe on it and he mentioned noticing the lag when trying to do the double tap charge attack which is a vital tactic in that game, it felt like half the time the attack wouldnt register.)
@Tasuki
Nice! I'm starting out with DuckTales 2, then CnD2 and finally Goof Troop. I spent about 30 minutes or so the other day with it and it's excellent. Already beat the first DT & Cn'D, along with Darkwing back in the 90's so the urge to blast through them again is kinda mute.
@NeonPizza Decided to start with Ducktales since I am the most familiar with that game and can guage the quality the best with that game.
Overall what I played big improvement over the PS4 version. I am playing it on the Switch and using the pro controller. Feels so much better with a proper dpad and not the broken up one of the PS4 or clunky Xbox one. Colors are decent but your not.going to recreate the raw crispness of original hardware and cartridge.
I am happy to say lag is nowhere to the degree of Mega Man. Yeah there's a bit that caused some stupid deaths especially in the Mine level and the Moon but as crazy as Air Man's stage in the Lag-acy collection.
Going to try some Darkwing later on tonight.
In other news super excited to see a release date for the He-man game definitely looking forward to that. Still surprised me that we never saw a He-man game on the NES but then again by the time the NES got big He-man was slowly coming to an end and mutant martial artist reptiles were in. Still 10 year old would have been all over a He-man game back then. Oh well I guess better late then never.

He-Man is dropping in April, sooner than expected! It truly looks like a long lost beat em' up that was ripped straight out of the Arcades back in the early to mid 90's. Hopefully it doesn't overstay it's welcome with too many stages, which is one of the worst things you can do for the genre. Meanwhile, RetroWare's Toxic Crusaders, another beat em up, has been delayed. And of course, Marvel's X-men Collection is also coming later some time this year which was such a wild unexpected surprise. Now give me The Simpsons Arcade, Alien Vs Predator & Cadilacs & Dinosaurs and I'll die happy. And I told ya!, The NS version of The Disney Afternoon Collection is where it's at. You've got the Pro 1/2 Controllers D-Pad, much greater TV Filter setting, it feels right at home on a Nintendo Console, along with the addition of Goof Troop & Bonkers, all of which make the PS4 version feel worthless.
And I've been chipping away at Chip n' Dale 2, and boy, what a let down. The soundtrack is so forgettable, lazy and fails at capturing the sprit, charm and atmosphere of the original. They weren't even trying this time around. Plus, It barely does anything to expand on the first either, other than forcing 5+ minute character cut scene dialogue/bantering in between each stage which just doesn't work for a game like this.
This isn't NES Ninja Gaiden, it's frikkin' Chip n' Dale for crying out loud. The story isn't exactly engaging or suspenseful, nor should it be. And I mean, it's been a minute since i've played through the first(Aside from 1990, the last time was in 1993 right before our trip to Disney Land when Alladin was all the rage), but I remember the original feeling magical, innovative, it had a phenomenal soundtrack, tight platforming, great boss battles, it was nearly on the level of DuckTales 1. But CnD2? Somebody throw it in a grease fire. lol
It's also too easy, and I found myself completely zoning out during my playthrough, as if I were just in a state of going through the motions, desperately wanting it all to end as quick as possible. $600(Cad) for this bugger on eBay? Ya right! I wouldn't take it for free. Mind you, I have 1 more stage left to finish, followed up by the final boss battle against Fat Cat. But I highly doubt it's going to end on a high note. It's been a steady consistent flow of mediocrity and that's being generous! This game straight up sucks.
