Topic: Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny Coming Exclusively to Switch Next Summer

With everything else slated for release in 2021, Disgaea 6 takes a little bit of a backseat to games I'm more excited to play. But that didn't stop me from putting down on the collector's edition.

This games a huge disgaea.

I know a lot of people like the change but I’m not keen on the 3D models.

I’m still looking forward to this though.

I’m predicting a Disgaea character in smash. I’m also really excited to try Disgaea 5!!! What type of game is it? Normal RPG or strategy?

They're a series of strategy rpgs.

Now we just need NIS to port the second and third games to Switch and the collection will be complete.

I've just watched the new trailer gameplay and I had completely forgot they are using 3D models now. I'm still not sure if I like the change or not but otherwise it looks great.

@Magician I thought Famitsu gave it a good review, a bunch of 9 and 8s wasn't it? I'm not crazy about the art style myself but it's not bad just different so I can't imagine they would dock points for that.

Are the trailers representative of the art style? Cos they look great to me.

I don't think anything better reflects that I've made terrible decisions in my life then that I immediately understood why Rushia being a fanservice character was funny.

Am I being stupid or have they not said what the new gimmick that is introduced in this game is yet?

@jump They've actually been up for preorder on the NIS store for months now. I've had the page bookmarked, but I keep waiting as I hate preordering things too far ahead of time. I think I'll order it today, though, as the stock is starting to diminish.

I'm getting the deluxe version, since I love steelbooks and CDs.

It's a really good game! I accidentally tripped over a Trapezohedron super early, doing what I always do and seeing how deep I could dive in the item world. The achievement for killing an ItemGod2 gives it, so you can get one right after the item world unlocks! Not only does the SP let you shamelessly enhance your special attacks early, but you can also dive into items WAY above your level this time around, speeding up the early game, and saving you a few hours vs doing the regular story right off the bat.

The auto-battle is really cool too. They are farming as I type

I picked this up yesterday after trying the demo for a while and I'm definitely enjoying it. The humor in it is great so far. It's biggest downside is definitely the performance though as frame drops are pretty apparent. Hopefully a future patch will smooth things a little

Is there any reason Disgaea 5 is cheaper than its predecessors?

Also, anyone here who would recommend one over all the others?
