Topic: Dawn of the Breakers

A simple F2P action RPG that stealth released on the NA eShop yesterday (it's been out in Japan for a week or two already). Kind of has a Power Rangers like vibe.

It features the usual trappings of F2P RPGs (gatcha system for obtaining new party members, stamina bar that depletes as you take on quests, etc), but it looks decent enough portable (looks clean), and it has button controls.

Not something that'd distract me too long from any of the paid games I have, but I think I could fit in a half hour a day, at least until I get bored, lol.

I have played up to Episode 1 Part 3: Best Friends Always Fight, I started playing the game yesterday when it came to the EU eShop.

Pokémon Quest with a different skin then?

@Magician, I haven't played Pokemon Quest, but don't you not have control of your Pokemon during battle in that?

Here, you actually have full control over the hero you have set as leader. You can run around, use basic & special attacks, and defend all in real time.

The game is not connecting to the server...I checked my internet connection many times and it is fine...I reinstalled the game but with no success. It was working fine previously. I also tried clearing cashe but it did not help

Anyone else??

Just downloaded this but can't even play keeps saying connection has been lost

I'm getting same message. Could be server overload or something

Haven't had any issues connecting so far, but I've only played it twice. If it happens to me I'll bring it up.

EDIT: I'm now having the connection error message as well. Seems like it's something on their end.

I'm playing the game now and nothing's happened to mine so maybe the servers are back up as usual.

Yeah, servers must be back up as I've been able to play it a couple times this morning.

It's not something I'll play religiously, but it's a nice supplementary game to be able to pop into from time to time.

I 100% completed chapter 1 and 2 and begin to admire this game. It's really charming: the characters are fun, the story is good enough, and hitting the missing fields on the board with the roulette to get 100% makes every round tense.

I unlocked loads of options already (capsules, the lab, co-op quests, etc.) and tons of items, and I don't even know what to do with most of them, what to keep and how to use stuff effectively and not wasting them. There's a certain level of complexity in what you can do (Xenoblade 2 and Disgaea 5 vibes) but it seems tutorials are - just like in Xeno2 - not re-readable unfortunately.

I play Dawn of the Breakers between Fallout Shelter, Galak-Z, and Paladins. All pretty good free to play games that compliment each other very well.

If you wonder why Fortnite and Pokémon Quest are missing: Fortnite for me really needs better motion controls to be enjoyable, and Pokémon Quest got me bored after a while (also some annoyingly loud Pokémon attack noises scared me away).

Edit: Breakers had server issues on release day. The devs apologized (as you can read in the in-game news) and give away free items for those who were there at launch.

Also, what I found odd is that today I encountered multiple error messages (all of the same kind) popping up during gameplay at random times, but the game just continued like normal. No bugs, no connection issues, no throwing you out of the current stage, no putting you back to the main menu, no crashing, nothing. The game just continues after the pop-up and runs just as well as before.

I also heard multiple people comparing this to Power Rangers. I absolutely hate everything Power Rangers related because of its plain stupidity, awful story, crappy costumes, miserable fighting scenes, boring characters, and a track record of only "shiddy games that suck azz" to quote the nerd, Breakers seems to be the total opposite in every regard. Really, the only similar thing is that there's a bunch of teens that can change their appearance, but even then they're looking like cool Xenoblades instead of Pulp Fiction basement pimps in rainbow colors.

Played less than five minutes, the Power Ranger theme does nothing for me.

It also feels too much like a mobile game for my taste.

I have reached episode 4

I tried the game a couple days ago. And quickly uninstalled it. After the tutorial and first 3 missions I realized I was bored, and the game was boring. I'm not gonna play something that I find boring.

I've only played dawn of the breakers until episode 1 part 4 but I wanna enhance one of my heroes with the same hero. (The hero that I wanna enhance has a sword and the one that's the same character doesn't have a sword. Both characters have red hair.) How do I change support characters. (I looked in the organize team section but I couldn't find anything that allows me to change any support characters. I WAS able to change ASSIST characters though.)

i did it before but i am stuck by dispatching my team to defeat xenos on episode 6 part 4: breakers vs xenos.

I'm currently on "episode 6 part 4: breakers vs xenos" but i am having trouble with something, the cost is 46 right and my team's bp is over 11,254 but how can i unlock wicked blade, beryl oblivion and destroyer of worlds to be able to dispatch the team.
