@toiletduck Yeah, @CanisWolfred is right. I was about to edit my comment, that the viewpoint in this new game is much more up close, and it has some additional/other features, that the Armored Core games didn't have, but the essence of the games, fighting with mechs, is something that they both share.

Yeah, I was just looking through FromSoftware's other mecha games to see if there were any better equivelants than Armored Core, and Metal Wolf Chaos seems closer, with faster combat, destructible environments, and definitely more style. Still plenty of obvious differences (I'm not sure how story-focused Daemon x Machina will be), but I felt it was worth mentioning....also because I'm just plain excited for Metal Wolf Chaos finally getting released Stateside. It's gonna be a blast!
Side Note:
I had "Re:Birth" by Acid Black Cherry on my iPod for years, and never knew it was the intro to Another Century's Episode: R until now. It's a pretty sick intro, too.
I also forgot the Destiny Gundam had a Shining Finger-esque weapon...probably because it wasn't used much, and in general was a great mech that was wasted on its terrible pilot...which really encapsulates Seed Destiny as a whole: "Wasted Potential."
Thanks for that, it looks even cooler than I expected! Man, you can even get out of your mech and do stuff? Pick up and attach enemy equipment on the fly? Nice!
This has definitely become one of the major releases for next year in my book. Hopefully it won't be the only major 3rd party exclusive next year, but at least it's a good looking one.
After seeing the trailer a few more times and then the treehouse video I can say that this game is DOPE! A new IP with mechs(designed my Shoji Kawamori mind you), destructible enviroments and that level of customization? Consider me hyped.
Btw are we sure it´s an exclusive?
@CanisWolfred You're welcome. If I wouldn't have had the Treehouse broadcast running on my Wii U in the background, I wouldn't even have noticed myself...

@Syndrome Yes, it will only be released on the Switch. If it's not going to be successful, we could of course always get a Zombi U situation, but that's a worry for later...

That depends on if Ninty are funding the game, even if it's a flop it wont be released on another console.
@jump Actually the Wikipedia page of the game says it's published by Nintendo so it's gonna be a Switch exclusive.
There's been cases like Lego City Undercover where Ninty had published it as an exclusive but the game later got ported, where as games they published and funded like Bayonetta 2 have remained exclusive.
Favorite game shown at e3 aside from Fire Emblem Three Houses.
