When Jools first announced a Kickstarter to bring Chicken Wiggle to Switch I was down on the idea because I thought it was asking too much of the audience to request funds for another port. Oh how I was wrong.
This is not a port. It is a full on remake of the game, going from pixel art on 3ds to hand drawn on Switch. Even better, Grant Kirkhope is going to do the sound for the Switch remake! This looks great and I am happy to support it even though I have the original on 3ds.
This is the first Kickstarter I have backed. For only $10 it seems well worth it to me. Jools never disappoints. I should have known he had something special up his sleeve when he first announced this campaign.
I'm very particular with what I back on Kickstarter, but the allure of a Mario Maker style platformer was too much to resist.
You can switch between pixelated graphics and the new HD style as well, which is great for me as I prefer that retro look.
It's coming! The initial target was reached on Easter Saturday, with the first stretch goal - a new orchestral soundtrack featuring Grant Kirkhope - was reached in the campaign's final hours.
