Topic: Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia

Probably the coolest announcement from Japan's Nintendo Direct, for me anyway. Has anyone played Master of Monsters on the Genesis/Mega Drive? The Brigandine series plays much like that. Strategy rpgs in which you control monsters. The terrain plays a factor in your offensive and defensive capabilities on a hexagonal battlefield.

A Gematsu article this morning confirms that Brigandine will be available worldwide by spring 2020.

Edit: Hmm, if only I had looked a little deeper. Last week after the Direct the developer Happinet Games posted a translated trailer. That's not to say the Japanese physical release will support English. Only that a western release is planned. Looks as though it'll be a Switch console exclusive, as the video description doesn't mention PS4.

Hmm, although English hasn't been confirmed for the Japanese release of Brigandine, the official website does. That gives me hope. Because although this game is a Switch exclusive, there's no guarantee there'll be a physical release outside of Japan.

Looks as though each army general is getting their own custom Switch in Japan.

Soooo can’t wait to have this game , will drop whatever I will be currently playing at release for this bad boy . Put a serious amount of hours in its previous entry in the series , one of my all time favorite games of its genre.

Official date for the Japanese physical release has been set for June 25th. Even though the official website supports English, and Happinet have launched an English Twitter account, I still cannot confirm that the Japanese release will support English. The lack of info is frustrating.

Went ahead and preordered the limited limited edition.

Western distribution to be handled by LRG. A nice surprise. Opting for the LRG release will save me some money.

Same here waiting to see what LRG offers. There is a version on Amazon japan but it's big bucks.....the trailers I've seen shows english so that is confusing.

I assume LRG will only offer a standard edition. The limited edition might be exclusive to Japan, but we'll have to wait and see. The Japanese release will support English, so you can't go wrong either way. In the meantime...new trailer, showcasing the six generals you can pick from, with some gameplay spliced in.

is this a single player game like it's own kinda Fire emblem game? or is this really like a kind of online never-ending live service sort of game.

There's a demo now available to download if you have a Japanese Nintendo account.

@Magician I'll probobably pickup that one as well since it has a Pin with it. So plans are Japan and LRG version.
