So I'm getting breath of the wild in a couple days and the acting is the only bad thing I've heard. So for the first time is it better in English or is it better in Japanese or is that to make it feel new later?

You can download and switch to any of the eight (or so) language options for free. You should look up a compilation of all the languages on Youtube and decide for yourself because I think there are some that are better than even the Jpn dub. My personal choice is the Italian dub.
As others have said, you can now freely switch between them, making it easy to decide for yourself which you prefer. Other people's opinions are largely irrelevant.
I always opt for the original language when possible. In fact, I switched to Japanese as soon as the update went live (whenever that was), however, I will say that the English voiceover work wasn't too bad (probably because there was, mercifully, so little of it), but then I have extremely low expectations of Yanks lending their "talents" to dubs of non-English works. It's particularly irritating that upper-middle class American accents are basically all we ever hear in terms of virtually all dubbed content.
I would dub content with Australian accents for kicks if I could.
I went for Japanese since... original language and all that. Being Swedish that's kind of how I roll. If the original language had been English I would've gone with that.
As such, I have only heard the English voice acting in Youtube videos, and since I'm not used to it, it sounds weird to me. ;P Kind of how it is when seeing clips of Disney films in other languages. Not bad, necessarily... just strange.
I guess any language is fine, since there is no Hylian option. (Yes, I'm still salty about that. -.-' )

I don't personally care which voice it defaults. Be it a English dub or Japanese one I'm fine both ways but for this game and maybe even the Xenoblade series, I prefer the Japanese voice over the English. My first play through was in english and man, the women voices like with Zelda and Mipha isn't that great IMO. Mipha sounds like a man could do it high pitched while Zelda's voice annoyed the heck out of me. The rest of the voices seemed okay, but only those two characters really stood out that I felt isn't good with the VA.
@Snaplocket Well then use the language you prefer. This is the correct answer to the OP's question, and applies to everyone else. You have multiple languages at your disposal, and can easily toggle between them. Try a few out, pick which one you prefer, then get on with the game happily knowing that you've made the right you for you.
That way you can enjoy the game to the full, and the internet won't have to endure another tired debate about which option is 'superior', and can be spared another round of fruitless circular arguments rooted in nothing more than personal preferences.
@Snaplocket Exactly. With respect to the OP, there's not a question or a debate here to be had. One may as well ask the internet, "do I prefer red or blue?". The internet won't know. Lots of people will happilly say whether they prefer red or blue, but they won't answer the original question. They can't. The only person who can answer the question is the one asking it. All anyone else can do is pointlessly yell their preferences at each other.
@Tsurii No denying that. I think it's just that's how I first played BOTW, with english VA, and am used to them sounding the way they do. It doesn't matter how bad it is, if I'm used to it, listening to it in another language makes it feel weird. That's pretty much how it always is with language in media for me.

@Tsurii I have this issue in most things. In games and series from my childhood, like DuckTales, Spongebob, or the Pokémon anime, I‘m used to the german dub and listening to it anything else, weirds me out to the detriment of my enjoyment of that cartoon. Contrary, I can‘t watch Rick and Morty or Bob‘s Burgers in german, I NEED the english VA. That‘s why I play all my games in english and prefer japanese VA in every case.
