Topic: Brawlout vs Smash?

Never played a Smash game, bought Brawlout because it was cheap, heard people say it’s similar to Smash

Not a huge fan of it so far so scared that might mean I might not like Smash

So curious if people that love Smash also like Brawlout or are they different enough I might like Smash even if I am not a big fan of Brawlout

I don’t think there’s any game out there, clone or not, that comes close to duplicating the entire Smash experience.

@ReaderRagfish ya true it’s more of a quality issue , kinda choppy and hard to get back on the stage , also not knowing the characters does impact a fighting game experience for me

A demo for smash would be key IMO

@ValhallaOutcast I second those weirdos above. I also think that if Ultimate has as much extra content in the challenge events, stadium games, etc as the other entries, there will be far more to experience if you need a break from traditional fighting.
You mentioned not knowing the characters, and I think the smash series does great in the regard of really spotlighting some of Nintendo history’s favorites.
In short, I wouldn’t worry about your experience with Brawlout giving you an idea of having fun in Ultimate. If you’ve got a 3DS, you could try the free demo for SSB4

@ValhallaOutcast Smash is a game that isn't hard to find. I would encourage you to find an older Smash, such as SSB Wii U or Melee and give that a try for a bit, and see what you think there.

I'd still say give Smash a chance, there's plenty of clones out there. But like Yosheel has said, they don't come close to the real thing. Smash 4 got a demo on both versions, so chances Smash Ultimate will get one as well. Wait till that. (and even then, the demo doesn't do much, lol)
