Topic: assassin's creed 3 remaster

I was enjoying 4 on the wiiu.

Until I got into a death loop where the same jaguar kept killing me every time I respawned.

Then it got kinda annoying.

Wasn't it like 15fps on the Wii U?

I remember it playing just fine.

It's been a while though.

Still on the fence, I like the assasins/templars theme, but the horror stories of frame rate on the Switch and the fact that it is considered the worst of the 7 ACs scares me a bit off. I’ll wait for the reviews probably, the reviews for PS4 remastered version are good though.

@MSTRDM Don't worry, ACIII definitely isn't considered the worst of the 20. I think Unity is a bit up there ahead.

I've been playing this and rather enjoying it, I must say. Strangely it seems to be more fluent and 'this gen' in the gameplay department, where everything is clean and crisp, than in the numerous cutscenes, which seem a bit flat.

@bellow Agreed, I've been having a blast. And it looks great to me, having played the WiiU version not 4 months ago. I'm hoping it does well for Ubi, and that we could get a few more titles. I would really enjoy playing Rogue again.

@HobbitGamer I played 2 and brotherhood back in the day. I left it that because it was becoming a bit repetitive, as all ubi open worlders can.

There's been enough of a gap for me to jump back in here, although I probably still wouldn't have bothered without the Switch's handheld and sleep functions. They're such a godsend for long games with slightly repetitive frameworks. I can't even imagine playing a jrpg on any other system after playing a good few on the Switcheroo.

I'm temped to dip into my first Assassin's Creed game while it's on sale, but September is a demanding month.

Have the (any?) recent patches improved the game over the launch edition?

yes they release the patch on August with performance and audio improvement and the most annoying bugs fixed, there are still some small glitches here and there but is much better and playable now and worthy the (sale of course) price

the fact they patched the game give me hope for the ACIV black flag porting that i really wanted and i want a port with customer support because it obvious there will be problem on the launch for bad optimisation but if they will patched like they did on Ac III will still be ok

I may grab it in the sale and keep it for when my backlog is clear.
