Btw. pretty impressive Galaga 88 score. I am currently hovering over 100000

So NAMCO Museum's Galaga '88, is it? I promised myself not to spend anymore this month but this is a really nice game and I'm a sucker for that kind of gameplay... mmmmh... guess I'll take my lunch break to decide

EDIT: ugh, 29 effin' euros... thought it was 19, for now that's a pass for me

@RetroGamerAndrew The NAMCO MUSEUM for Switch received a much-needed 50% off discount back around Autumn last year. I couldn't hit the buy button fast enough!

Sorry, you missed out on that offer. Totally understand £30 is pretty steep for this collection. Here's hoping we get another discount in future.

@Lroy yes 15€, even 19€ would do as the roster is quite good... I'll keep my eyes open for the next discount!

I will buy Namco Museum today. This challenge is the excuse I needed to purchase it & it also helps to have a $50 gift card waiting to be used!

@Lroy Been having a rough couple of weeks. Felt pretty good as of late with some ups and downs, but these past few weeks have been all downs so far.
Had to go for a checkup 2 weeks ago and found out that the doctor felt I needed at least 10 more weeks, so yeah. Had a bit of a dip there.
I've done pretty much nothing these past couple of weeks besides lay on the couch to rest and recuperate and play some low intensity games from the backlog.
And when I get like that, I tend to do stupid things and add a heap of games to said backlog...
Just purchased nearly all 360 musou games on Saturday for instance.13 in total. lol At least they were cheap.
And already spent 10 hours in Samurai Warriors 2 and 4 hours in Dynasty Warriors Gundam 1. Not to mention a lot of hours driving around in Forza Horizon and playing way too much Pinball games on Xbone since the Switch version isn't out here.
I'm starting to feel a bit better now though, so I hope that it continues this way.
The nice weather seems to help quite a bit as well.
Spent the past couple of days in the garden more than anywhere else. Playing some House of the Dead Pinball and the NiGHTS table in Sonic Pinball thingy on GBA.

Pretty good start with Galaga 88. Going to really enjoy this week's challenge

A couple of weeks off of score chasing for me as I played Dragon Blaze but it was simply too hard for me with the required settings for the tournament.... After an hour or less of trying for a high score I dropped the difficulty to Monkey with 9 lives, and even like that the game is hard but will certainly go back to it!

I don't own Namco Museum and I think 30 quid is too much, maybe I'll get it if it gets discounted again..

@masterLEON Thanks a lot for doing that. I've had a lot going on these past few days. The next few days will be the same and my weekend will be spent adjusting to a 7 hour time difference and recovering from a hellish long haul flight.After that though I've got plenty of spare time and hope to get stuck right into these challenges again.

For the open leaderboards for the Psikyo games please give me until next week until I get sorted back at my own place.

I've managed a few runs of Galaga 88 and the best I've managed is 96k something. I've got a long bus journey tomorrow and then a 4 hour wait to collect my visa so I'll be able to have a good go at it then.

This game is still brutal!
Managed this score a couple days ago when I had time to sit with it for a few moments but I haven’t been able to come close since then... most times I die trying to get the Golden Goose(tm) 😂 lol

Edit: wait we’ve changed game already?! You guys should slow down a bit lol, not even a couple weeks or 10 days seems very hard for me with life in the way and all... I love these challenges tho it sucks that I’m only able to play the games for not even 1hour most of the times...

Btw today is a sad day for me with the The Pinball Arcade awful news... especially since I only knew they were gonna lose Terminator and Star Trek TNG... ugh.
I wish I had bought all 8 seasons on Switch on the brief period of time they were made available 😓😓

I'm feeling a it better now, but I'm still taking it very slow as I overdo it way to easily even though I barely do anything it feels.
Gonna try and take plenty of rest and try to slowly build up my reserves again.
The problem is, every time I start feeling better I want to do a bit too much too soon, and then there's a backlash. The last one was pretty bad actually.
Gonna try and avoid the same thing again this time.

Just got the news re Pinball Arcade on this thread. Shame. Have seasons one and two on disc, and season six on PSN from the one time it was on sale. The one table I had to have was Judge Dredd and just DL'd. BTW the Stern tables on Switch have had TATE added a few weeks back.
